It's not really "outside the box" so much as it is "inside another character's box." It's basically trying to turn the Medic into the Heavy Weapons Guy. I mean, if you want to give the Medic an offensive weapon, why not something fitting? Like a gun that shoots a bolt of lightning at people, or a charged particle cannon, or even a gun that shoots capsules that stab enemies and make them bleed to death? Make it a weapon for the Medic, you know, rather than a weapon for the Heavy that you gave to the Medic.

im thinking outside the box
Golden Squidward 17 Nov, 2017 @ 11:58am
Why give Medic a minigun? I mean, he's not the Heavy. I don't have a problem with the Medic getting an offensive weapon, but try to stick a little more to character and making his weapons fitting his character.

the saying "attack is the best defense"
Silverwind 8 Oct, 2017 @ 1:24pm
Defense is not for attacking. If you can't have a battle Medic, you can't have a Demoknight. Plain and simple.
spring fox 7 Oct, 2017 @ 7:32pm
Silver just go play another game if you want medic to be dps; oh wait that happens in ZERO fps games for good reason.
Silverwind 23 Sep, 2017 @ 9:58pm
Last time I checked, defense isn't about DPS. That's offense's job.
Sklyer 23 Sep, 2017 @ 4:45pm
Your completely changing the role of the class, tell me. Does a melee weapon change the role of the demoman? Oh your right either way he is a damage dealer. It changes how the class is played not the role. This changes the role of the class and how it plays entirely from a class that is supposed to keep people alive to a damage dealer. Healers unless you are playing at more competetive levels are already not common to come by and you think this will make that any better? Sure they may be a medic on your team but they are using this.

Also it doesn't fit the medic as a character at all. Look at all his weapons so far, if you see a pattern good job. If the pattern was they are all medicinal theme, great job you passed.

This weapon should not be added.
Silverwind 23 Sep, 2017 @ 1:27pm
A demoman's job is to blow shit up. Should they remove the Demoknight weapons?
vaultshadow  [author] 23 Sep, 2017 @ 12:47pm
is not being stupid, is thinking outside the box
Sklyer 23 Sep, 2017 @ 12:27pm
Sorry, it doesn't really fit at all. In aethstetic, character, or gameplay. A medic's job is to be the medic it is in the name. Don't be stupid.
Silverwind 24 Aug, 2017 @ 3:38am
It's a fucking minigun. You think a heal beam's gonna come frome that?
Stefano (BackToGetCommissions) 24 Aug, 2017 @ 1:14am
skin for this weapon?
Silverwind 16 Aug, 2017 @ 1:06pm
First of all, it's Silver. Second of all, if Medics don't get to attack, Demomen don't get to attack. Remove the Demokinght weapons.
spring fox 15 Aug, 2017 @ 1:16pm
Solar your argument is worthless here; go back to twitter.
Jukebox 14 Aug, 2017 @ 7:44pm
Hi. If you'd like some tips on how to get better feel free to add me!
Silverwind 13 Aug, 2017 @ 10:22am
@ol' joe you racist
spring fox 13 Aug, 2017 @ 4:52am
NO; medics heal they don't waste our time dying over and over shootin.
the cheese 7 Aug, 2017 @ 5:34pm
Maybe this could have an area of healing similar to the Banners, with the UberCharge giving a Crit Boost or Speed Boost? Just some ideas for stats.
Silverwind 5 Aug, 2017 @ 12:41pm
I think all classes should be able to go combat mode if they want to, as long as they still fulfill their role. Heavies and Demos can defend by killing. Snipers and Medics can support by killing.
Rd_Ctrlr 5 Aug, 2017 @ 12:25pm
well, i never said heavies can go fat scout. i didn't even remember about fat scouts until now.
vaultshadow  [author] 5 Aug, 2017 @ 12:24pm
More like classicist or elitist
Silverwind 5 Aug, 2017 @ 11:06am
@Rd Ctrlr Oh, so Heavies can go Fat Scout, but you can't have Battle Medics? You racist.
Rd_Ctrlr 5 Aug, 2017 @ 11:03am
is my medic using a machinegun?

badbadbadbadbadbad THIS IS BAD
Hug Kogan 4 Aug, 2017 @ 2:09pm
No no no no no NO you know how many new medics will just try to get kills and not help the team ? Medic is a MEDIC he does not need a minigun he needs to be the person helping in a fight be healing the team and maybe fireing a cross bolt off he doesn't need to be a frag class
Deci 4 Aug, 2017 @ 11:57am
This is pretty awesome, could a stat clock be attached to this? Also maybe a strangifier?
Again this is the coolest thing I have ever seen for medic!Keep up the good work dude!
PossiblyDeadly 4 Aug, 2017 @ 4:04am
Redefining the Medic.
vaultshadow  [author] 2 Aug, 2017 @ 7:29pm
why dont you make a stats forum?
[SM] Sporben 2 Aug, 2017 @ 7:27pm
Onwe thing to say, every kill filled up the uber charge and there was no medi-gun
Rale 2 Aug, 2017 @ 1:23pm
It's like a shitty version of the medic minigun
Sighbot2966 2 Aug, 2017 @ 11:25am
I'm guessing this will be a sidegrade? It's an interesting concept, and if it is an alternate primary, then it would benifit from have a dispenser like characteristic, except without dispensing ammo. Maybe it could even start out with less AoE healing, but at a certain amount of kills or assists, the healing is a bit more than the dispenser.
Myahster 2 Aug, 2017 @ 10:09am
Yeah, sorry. Jukebox made a way better one.
FishTigress 2 Aug, 2017 @ 7:43am
Will it shoot needles out of it? It would certainly not have a lot of ammo, maybe like 75 ammo or so or maybe small packages to change (50 ammo, 3 times in reserve until you have to reload the whole thing). If it doesn't contain syringes then I suggest you change the bullets into them as it's the running 1st weapon theme for the Medic.

I agree on the bullet belt being a horrible colour, it needs to be bronze or brass like or better yet, team coloured creamy (but that might be hard to make). Maybe with a touch of dark to it too like Heavy's bullets. Or if there's syringes then it should be team coloured (red and blue) and white.

Interesting concept even if killing isn't what the Medic does best.
LimeSlushy 2 Aug, 2017 @ 5:36am
I can imagine it working like, primary heal beam is replaced by healing ointment capsule bullet projectile things, secondary expends charge to fire normal bullets. Or something similar to that. The idea being it would attract players to the class who usually avoid it because they feel like medic is the class you pick because someone has to do the job but everyone else was like "NOT IT" and you're clearly losing due to that, by rewarding time spent healing with time using a decently strong weapon.

`Need more detail work put in, and some that that separates it from the other like uniqueness 'like for example the barrel could have something different'"
if you want my help just add me on steam
Rancho Relaxer 1 Aug, 2017 @ 7:34pm
Brass Orange, like the casings on the Heavy's ammo chest belt
vaultshadow  [author] 1 Aug, 2017 @ 2:01pm
what other color?
Rancho Relaxer 1 Aug, 2017 @ 12:56pm
The ammo-belt looks horrible, at least make it a different color than neon yellow. Sorry, just being honest here.
Prism Tank 1 Aug, 2017 @ 8:01am
Weird
Bufflehead 1 Aug, 2017 @ 7:55am
Anyone else have Déjà Vu? I thought yesterday I told someone that giving medic a minigun is a stupid idea.
🌹~Franboise~🌹 1 Aug, 2017 @ 7:32am
So instead of healing people, medic could use a mini gun ? OH MY GAWD IT'S LIKE A WEAKER BUT FASTER HEAVY THAT COULD REGEN HIMSELF
Blumberquack 1 Aug, 2017 @ 6:25am
Wait, so how would this work? Cool concept, but I've got no idea if it's a medigun or an actual gun.
DrIvanRadosivic 1 Aug, 2017 @ 5:02am
alternately, make this for the Heavy as a primary.
DrIvanRadosivic 1 Aug, 2017 @ 5:01am
So you want to combat medic? How about no.
Pixenal 1 Aug, 2017 @ 1:55am
You need to give it some hard edges and a specular map, bump up that phong as well, its barely noticable
El Espantaviejas 1 Aug, 2017 @ 1:54am
You should try using sharp edges to get a better smoothing
Space Jammer 1 Aug, 2017 @ 12:30am
Huh, 2 mediguns? T i m e p a r a d o x
Im not complaining, more medi-miniguns are fine with me!
Rancho Relaxer 31 Jul, 2017 @ 1:27pm
Two Minigun Mediguns and less than a week apart? WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?
