Steps
1: set the area you want to have dof applied to be white on a seperate layer
2: set areas that you want to be in focus to black in a seperate layer
3: turn the resulting black and white image into an alpha channel for a clone of the original image
4: apply Gaussian blur to the layer
5: done, but it takes for ever to trace the crap.
