Class 455 is here. https://steamhost.cn/app/65229/

Although seemingly a strange choice, at the time the scenario was created there was no other EMU available in BR Blue.

I have a feeling I'm being thick here...it tells me I'm missing the Class 455/9. Where can I get it?

Thanks

Gavin

Hi Darren - just picked this up, despite the fact that it's been available for 3 years. I think this is one of the best scenarios I've come across Darren and it's a credit to you and your efforts. The AP lighting pack is a real bonus - it all gets kinda murky when you run into Motherwell and beyond. By the way, did you ever punch this through to Carlisle?

Anyone wanting to learn how UK signalling works should practice on this.....!!

Thanks again,

John

I only added the 455 recently so I was a bit late downloading this scenario - I can only echo all the other positive comments - it's really excellent, and it's one I'll keep.

Incidentally, I have the AP lighting pack - it makes it a "rainy early evening" scene rather than one at dusk, and it doesn't get appreciably darker for the duration as the weather improves a bit! Didn't take anything away from it for me though.

Thanks for this one.

Had the patience this time and it is a great scenario, not sure if this loco has sanders or they were turned off, added to the concentration factor.
Not for the feint hearted
Thanks

Excellent scenario but I will have to play again as I was impatient. Tabbed to go into Motherwell and got approved only to find the pesky 4 car DMU already there. Pulled up behind, wouldn't move so I shoved it out of the way and did the pickup. Still wouldn't budge so coupled up and took the whole consist to Carstairs, great fun. I'll try to play it sensibly next time.

Very Enjoyable Scenario. Thank You
Thirstyverk 30 Oct, 2013 @ 5:53pm
Great scenerio. Will have to get some AP lights. Also experienced wheel slip something which has been alien to me in other RW versions. Thanks I like your scenerios very much.
Garyk1982 1 Jun, 2013 @ 11:04am
great
Legs Lane 7 Mar, 2013 @ 4:06am
Great scenario. And it worked fine with my AP lighting enhancement pack (total darkness towards the end)
david.higham 18 Feb, 2013 @ 8:09am
brill scenario very realistic keep up good work
ken6p 6 Feb, 2013 @ 7:01am
great scenario, patience is the word enjoyed it
roberts113 22 Jan, 2013 @ 11:24am
Excellent scenario. Brilliant challenge with all the reds :-)
das97 19 Jan, 2013 @ 7:05am
Excellent scenario - would look forward to the other half! :-)
mrradio 14 Jan, 2013 @ 10:20am
fair point keep up the good work
Icity125 10 Jan, 2013 @ 12:00pm
Brilliant scenario well done, and would love you to extend it to Carlisle.
GhostEngineer 7 Jan, 2013 @ 6:43pm
I presume the comments about the signals at caution or danger are due to a failure to read the scenario description and/or improper train handling. However it would be usefull to point out the location of the glitched signals (i.e. just out of Cambudslang and about 2.8 miles short of Carstairs).,
I would like to add a +1 for extending to Carlisle, as, on such a night, it would be foolish to assume an unscheduled stop is the last of the grief one is going to take during that shift. ;-)
DPSimulation  [author] 7 Jan, 2013 @ 5:10am
Yeah, I understand your point about the size of the HST. However, the whole storyline behind the scenario was a string of events that lead to the service being diverted and the subsequent disruption, hence the scenario being defined as "hard"
mrradio 6 Jan, 2013 @ 3:05pm
unllike the class 150 ect small and quick to stop,i found that i could get a nice bit of speed up the the hst in certain parts just to get a single yellow and needed to stop.apart from that good scenario....not being rude just giving feed back.
DPSimulation  [author] 6 Jan, 2013 @ 6:18am
What exactly do you mean by "too big"?
mrradio 1 Jan, 2013 @ 2:57pm
good try but the hst is just to big to be stopping at so many reds and the yellows to many for my liking...
JLD95 25 Dec, 2012 @ 1:18pm
very nice scenario, thank you
das97 19 Dec, 2012 @ 3:25pm
My kind of scenario. Yes please, extend to Carlisle. Nice work! Thanks...
ken6p 10 Dec, 2012 @ 11:18am
excellent very interesting detour
Jaffacake 8 Dec, 2012 @ 9:25am
I tried it again and waited at the red...soon giot an amber into Motherwell.....:)
DPSimulation  [author] 8 Dec, 2012 @ 1:40am
The maximum you should wait at a red light is no more than 3 minutes or so. Did you read the instructions about signals before driving it?
( HHA ) HARV 7 Dec, 2012 @ 4:34pm
Not a good one at all... if you mean its hard because you have to wait at every red light for an eternity.. then it was OK.. Thanks for all your work however and we,ll see what you can come up with in the future... Cheers

Jaffacake 3 Dec, 2012 @ 6:18am
Apart from that it was fun. Like everyone else...we want to see it extended to Carlisle :)
Jaffacake 3 Dec, 2012 @ 6:17am
@ DPS - yes that signal with 2 small white lights indicating a left hand branch on the approach to M.well station

Gorby 2 Dec, 2012 @ 10:19am
Cheers Darren. Yet another top notch sceanrio. It's a shame that you can't use non steam DLC, as that would seriously add to the realism.
Randallator 2 Dec, 2012 @ 8:41am
ok
jchillin316 1 Dec, 2012 @ 6:53pm
I enjoyed this one, very realistic and immersive. Your work is always top notch!
DPSimulation  [author] 1 Dec, 2012 @ 11:02am
It's a bit difficult Neil, there isn't anything at all suitable for suburban services.
Randallator 1 Dec, 2012 @ 10:28am
just wondering if you could make one with trains associated with this route only?
cheff1 1 Dec, 2012 @ 7:36am
Hard Work......but realistic !
Many Thanks for YOUR Work!!!!
DPSimulation  [author] 1 Dec, 2012 @ 7:22am
Do you mean two white lights to the left or right of the signal? That is a call on aspect. However, if you had waited, that signal should have cleared normally.
Jaffacake 1 Dec, 2012 @ 7:05am
Hi - Just tried this and had a major problem at Motherwell. The approach signal into M.well gave a Red but with 2 green shunting signals onto an alternative road/path. So I carried on only realising as I entered Platform 4 that I had to slam on to stop ploughing into the back of a train!!
Fairrosamund 30 Nov, 2012 @ 6:37am
An excellent and realistic scenario obviously a lot of thought has been put into making this one.It was a nice touch how darkness began to fall as the scenario progressed and just when you thought that everything was proceeding well once the HST got onto the WCML,the unexpected happens.Well done. ps This scenario is about the right length.
ballastdriver 29 Nov, 2012 @ 1:00pm
excellent scenario, the perfect blend of challenging signalling and main line line running. many thanks
Barrie 29 Nov, 2012 @ 8:53am
Varied, entertaining, and a pleasure to operate. Thankyou so much.
DPSimulation  [author] 29 Nov, 2012 @ 6:08am
There was nothing suggested to say that there was any harm in doing a longer scenario, I just asked the question. I have several scenarios that are what could be described as "lengthy", and the reaction is mixed with some users preferring them and some not. I was merely trying to gauge reaction on whether it was worth extending this one, some might feel that the 75 minutes or so is more than enough. After all, scenarios take time and effort to create, if it is a scenario that nobody wants then I am hardly going to spend the time and effort to do it.
TransportNutter2018 28 Nov, 2012 @ 1:12pm
btw I mean extend to Carlisle! (maybe even do a run back or start with a run going northwards with this as the return?)
TransportNutter2018 28 Nov, 2012 @ 1:12pm
Agree with Sean, there is NO Harm in having a long task/scenario or where you make a return journey or anything :)
beans on toast 28 Nov, 2012 @ 11:05am
Phenomenal scenario DPSimulation, enjoyed every minute of it! I love a drive with a few twists and turns in it. Everything combined makes a very very good intense activity. Thank you very much! I would absolutely love a second version to Carlisle, maybe with a couple of problems in that? :)
