@crocker45 Subscribe, load up the game, then go to team edit, then transfer wrestler, and then move the wrestler from "Retire" to a stable within a promotion. You can create promotions and stables to place within them from the team edit page, too.

Going to "Edit", creating a wrestler and using the downloaded one as a base will just make a duplicate. The wrestler you've subsribed to is already in game, he just has to be moved from "Retire".
