You don't have STNH activated, that's STNC.
And the UI mods do not work with STNC anymore.

only use these mods (links above):

STNH
only 1 UI mod activated in the launcher
music mod

optional:

pre TNG Era mod (only if you want to play from 2300 on and then only pick the "pre TNG maps")

Now i feel kinda dumb. I have over 3000 hours in this game, modded the hell out of it and cried in dispair when i got mismatched checksums as my friends. I forgott pure grafical clienside-mods still exist and don't change checksum :winter2019happyyul: Thanks for the reminder and thank a lot for the gread mod and keeping it up to date!

It would be nice to have an ingame UI selection but it's not possible at the moment (as far as I know).

Right now, players can still pick a different UI in multiplayer.
Just gotta make sure everyone has the following mods activated:

STNH
1 UI mod (or none)
music mod
(PRE TNG era mod, but only if you want to play on the pre tng era maps and from 2300 onwards)

Greetings, is there any chance to make a UI selection ingame? This way you can play multiplayer and load with more than 1 UI mod and player can choose UI depending on their choosen faction

It will look fine when used in combination with STNH though.
Workaround: create a local mod in the launcher and copy over the content of this mod
then delete the "ship_designer.gui" file f rom the interface folder

Okay, so the mod does work in vanilla. Doesn't mean without issue, though.

In the ship designer, the sections for the defensive and extra slots (such as armor, shields, things like the enhanced ai and what not) gets instead super imposed over each other, making it practically impossible to individually tweak things for ships.

you're talking about this UI mod?
1. make sure to only have 1 UI mod activated in the launcher
2. you could try to unsub + restart steam -> resub

Ah I see. It should be fine if you're running the mod in combination with STNH.
Another option would be:

1. create a mod in the launcher
2. copy the UI mod contents in there except the descriptor.mod file
3. then remove the gfx/interface/ship_designer.gui file

And what is your screen resolution, since 1920x1080 is about the minimum res that's supported.

Hello, I like the UI But I have a problem with the UI. In the ship designer, the fields that are normally located at the bottom, i.e. shields and armor, are at the top of the weapon slots. It is almost impossible to create a ship that is above the cruiser class. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Did you revert the game back to 3.3.4?
Because the STNH main mod isn't updated yet.
You can still play it if you revert back Stellaris to 3.3.4, until the mod is updated.
(go to library -> right click stellaris -> betas -> select 3.3.4

If you want to use the Borg UI mod with STNH 3.3.4 then have a look under "popular discussions" above. (older versions download)

Unfortunetly crashes once in game. it also shows a missing texture texture when clicking a planet or a matrix.
