Cheers, appreciate advise. Went to Drela's cottage in the end :/ Hardly seemed fair to kill the guy over it, but nevermind [you may have clicked I use hubby's account ] way kool to find it all out... :steamhappy: see you on your other pages !

Arcadias is made intentionally difficult, to preserve game balance at early levels, since hers is the first Analyzer you will normally encounter.

There are 6 others in the world, each requires a sort of payment to use... Sindarion's is by far the safest, but its remote. A dangerous wizard guards another, and 2 others are safe and easy to get to but requires you finish either the thirves guild or mages guild questlines, etc.

Please refer questions regarding my other mods to the proper mod pages. In a nutshell tho all items are "used" via special abilioties or spells, eg theres a spells called "Throw fishing net" or somesuch.
ASOG~ChewieSnr 21 Aug, 2015 @ 12:17pm
oops totally missed original question - sorry
- anway we can pay Arcadia to use this, instead of lockpicking or jumping the objects and being arrested ?? Just trying to not get repeated trips to jail... it's irritating
ASOG~ChewieSnr 21 Aug, 2015 @ 12:14pm
umm pse excuse a complete noob... I finally got the hang of your satchel & backpack drop, but cannot pick them up... is this normal ?? will this be the case with all your amazing items ?? love the fishing but must be doing something wrong too as cannot get fish net to catch anything...
is their a page I am missing on information ... it does say about an information something in the backpack but I cannot find it - also I cannot figure out the skse so that is not on glad you do not need it, way too involved but it did look interesting - not going there though, would love to move and use my own box's and chests etc, is it your intent that the satchels be loaded and carried in our inventory with items like real life ?? that's what I am aiming for or wanting to do with my houses... cheers

LOL -- Yep...it's one of yours!!! LOL. What can I say... you do good work.

I'll be looking forward to you getting back in business!!!
Arod Snaux  [author] 4 May, 2014 @ 7:57pm
It's not bad, but I levelled SO many chars during the beta phases the thought of having to do all those quests over again makes me sick. And let's face it... the days of $15/mo subscriptions is over. Games like Path of Exile (totally free) prove that microtransaction games don't necesssarily mean "pay to win" either.

WoW is dying but there's really nothing to replace it: GW2 fell short, as did Rift and a few others; I was really looking forward to ESO as a WoW-replacement, but the multiplayer features that made WoW so amazing are still underdeveloped and clunky. It feels like a single player game being played by 500 people at once, rather than being the cooperative multiplayer experience World of Warcraft provided so well.

ESO has potential... it's just not there yet. I hope they figure this out before people stop playing it.
bellofury 4 May, 2014 @ 7:04pm
ESO has been a bust for you? Do you mean the monthly payment? If so-- I got the same problem ... after purchase
Arod Snaux  [author] 4 May, 2014 @ 6:04pm
Given that I probably WROTE the mod you are using to build and place chests, yes, it's entirely possible. =)

Since ESO has been kind of a bust for me, I will probably reinstall Skyrim and start modding again, and this is definately on my to-do list.
Skorne Tet'Zu 4 May, 2014 @ 1:08pm
I'm loving this idea... but is there any way we could just purchase an Analyzer ourselves and place it in our labs??? I don't steal.. and having to travel around Skyrim to have an ingredient analyzed just seems a bit excessive. The cost of the Analyzer wouldn't be cheap... and there would still be the cost of the Analyzing, so I think it would still be lore friendly.

I don't know how feasible this idea is; I do have a mod which allows you to build and place crates, chest, etc... so I know it's possible; though I have no idea how difficult such a thing would be, especially with the type of Mod you're speaking of... but if it is possible, that would really be a very nice addition to any lab.
bellofury 16 Mar, 2014 @ 6:36pm
YAAAAY! This mod is great! It doesn't even require SKSE!!!!
PropagandaPanda 24 Nov, 2013 @ 10:11am
This mod sounds great, just subscribed. However a note on the description: no lockpicking is needed to get to the 'room' under Arcadia's stairs - just enter from the stair side and go over the barrels. She will usually come over and unlock the door to investigate so heads up.

Just tested this and it is awesome! Although maybe a little to inexpensive. How about having to destroy 2 samples, I mean you can learn the qualities pretty early with this and not have to waste perks to learn by eating them at higher levels.
76561198056076419 26 Sep, 2013 @ 1:10pm
I'm subbing for nothing other than the hilarious description! And other fish tales, lmao...
Allie 19 Sep, 2013 @ 5:39pm
hahaha my lockpicking skills are juuuuust fine spank u very much :-P I just wanted to be sure, and I do like the reason you explain, it makes sense :-)
Arod Snaux  [author] 19 Sep, 2013 @ 5:36pm
It will not mark items put inside as stolen (unless they are ALREADY stolen); you only get in trouble if she actually sees you fiddling with it.

This was for game balance: Arcadia's analyzer is her little secret to success and she will never let anyone use it... it also prevents low-level folks from getting too much power too early in the game. There are other, unlocked units elsewhere in the world if your morals and/or lockpick ability is lacking. Try Drelas' Cottage, the College Midden, or the Thieves guild for others.
Allie 19 Sep, 2013 @ 1:02pm
Do I need to activate it somehow, it shows as "steal from" when I aim at it, and when I try to work it it says Im out of lock picks. I did not see any choice from arcadia to usethe analyzer, is there a way it has to be turned on for player use?
Arod Snaux  [author] 10 Jul, 2013 @ 7:25pm
@Lord Higgens: Your posts have been deleted. If you expect to get help, please consider explaining what's actually wrong rather than posting multiple rants. What exactly happened?
wolf13345 27 May, 2013 @ 12:36am
Love this mod as well as your fishing mod. Works great with NPC hearts mod.
WreckIt 8 Apr, 2013 @ 3:33am
I like the idea, subscribed. I'll have to start a new game to try it out though since on my current game I've eaten everything to learn all the effects.
double0proph3t 14 Mar, 2013 @ 10:30pm
awsome idea, dont have to waste the hours to find out. good job
Arod Snaux  [author] 27 Feb, 2013 @ 5:35pm
Thanks, I realized there was need for this after installing 83Willows's bug mod and Blitz' Improved fish, both of which add a ton of ingredients, conversely making all other ingredients rare enough that experimenting was painful.

The only hard part was figuring out how to make it work with third-party ingredients, but as you can see I figured that part out. =)
mythagos 27 Feb, 2013 @ 4:52am
great mod, after I wasted half of my ingredients and a bunch of time trying to find all the combos, I was really happy to find this mod.

jjb-54 4 Feb, 2013 @ 7:14pm
OH, I know - but I was trying to be Non-God-Mode .. I was thinking;

Level 1'ish 2 of each items (plants-berries and such)
Level 2'ihs 4 ..... (same)
Leavel 3'ish 6 ... (same)
Leavel 4'ish - 8 ... Same

Toes - should be 2 ... Butterfly wings 2 ... Things that only have a set number should just be that set number .... I know, I know - What am I thinking?????? ;)
Arod Snaux  [author] 4 Feb, 2013 @ 6:43pm
Agreed, and there are a few mods which address your second concern. I know one fixes wheat to yield up to 5 good kernels, and another makes sure giants have 2 big toes and butterflies have two wings for sure.

But the reality is I cheat like hell and simply add what I need via console 90% of the time lol.
jjb-54 3 Feb, 2013 @ 2:26pm
okay - thanks .... This is one thing that I felt needed to be 'fixed' because their steps were not exactly - "on" in my opinion. But then I did not design the program.

The other thing I felt is/was "off" is that only one (1) alchemy agent can be picked/harvested and two at the most. Kind of felt like it should be 2 - 3 - 4 .. .but again, that's me.

Thanks!
Arod Snaux  [author] 3 Feb, 2013 @ 12:41pm
@jjb-54 : Yes, thats exactly what it does. I thought it was about the stupidest thing in the world that Skyrim has at least 20 alchemists and six shops and not a single one can tell you what the effects of wheat or skeever tail is.

This mod also adds several books that train you the effects of certain very specific items (bird eggs, for instance) for free.
jjb-54 3 Feb, 2013 @ 11:17am
I found the one at the Arch-Mage home... Thanks! :)
jjb-54 3 Feb, 2013 @ 11:17am
I am a 'dweeb' or what ever ... am I understanding that this is for beginning alchemist - so they become "enlightened" at the Alchemy Station what the alchemy agents will do - kind of like 'boosting' to all four effects?
jjb-54 2 Feb, 2013 @ 6:51pm
Is it possible for Dovahkiin to buy his own? So he/she can have one at their home?
Arod Snaux  [author] 22 Dec, 2012 @ 5:49pm
It's a smaller version, on his kitchen table, near the corner of the room.
tepesalex 22 Dec, 2012 @ 4:22am
i dont see it in Drelas' Cottage
Arod Snaux  [author] 18 Dec, 2012 @ 11:11pm

hatfieldtom5 13 Dec, 2012 @ 9:43am
thanks ,i 'll try that.have no mods on that so load order may be key.some times steam unsubscribes u..unrelated to ur mod; request(since ur a modder) could u ?make a mod:where u can give stuff, food, money, weapons ...ect to a npc , as well as when asked can u enchant my sword.u can. and where someone disrespects u can kick their but or chew them out, guard or any npc .yarls included. just an ideal

Arod Snaux  [author] 12 Dec, 2012 @ 8:15pm
Either the mod is disabled, or you have another mod which modifes Arcadia's store in a way this mod cannot handle. I'd try adjusting the load order of it, moving it to be the last thing to load, and if that doesn't work, try moving it earlier.

I'll be adding other Analyzers shortly (Im repairing my computer at the moment) so even if it doesnt work, stay subscribed and perhaps the next release will work.
hatfieldtom5 12 Dec, 2012 @ 12:35pm
all i found behind the locked door was crates piled under stairs, any ideals why?
Arod Snaux  [author] 6 Dec, 2012 @ 11:23pm
Lol 4x wins, or maybe iull even make it configurable.

Also stay tuned - my next mod will be inventory control that works with 3rd party items, just like this does.

4x 4x 4x 4x 4x 4x
Just thought I'd make sure you knew my vote :-)
SuggestedBowl 6 Dec, 2012 @ 9:55am
10x.
Lady Zoner 6 Dec, 2012 @ 5:02am
I vote 4x.
Arod Snaux  [author] 6 Dec, 2012 @ 2:28am
I'm thinking about dropping the cost of analysis from 10x item value to 4x item value... what say ye, mighty public? (you can also analyze for free, mind you)
Arod Snaux  [author] 2 Dec, 2012 @ 3:12am
Books added so lowbies can get started, too.
Arod Snaux  [author] 2 Dec, 2012 @ 12:48am
=)

The sneaky bit is to help balance it out a bit to make it difficult for newbie toons to gain access. However there will be a couple of books in Arcadia's dining room to get even level 1 toons started on the road to chemical mayhem.
tepesalex 1 Dec, 2012 @ 9:49pm
are there any others hate having to sneak and the steal to analyze but other than that awesome addon
MGdragon13 1 Dec, 2012 @ 5:24pm
Exactly! And that's why I downloaded this one, it recognizes third party mods.
Arod Snaux  [author] 1 Dec, 2012 @ 5:21pm
Thanks. There are several mods out there that tell you the properties of vanilla ingredients, but this is the only one I know of that works with all third party mods as well.

I'm currently working on a way to record your discoveries, so you can have a field journal of stuff to watch out for.
MGdragon13 1 Dec, 2012 @ 4:59pm
Excellent! Thank you for the mod!
Arod Snaux  [author] 1 Dec, 2012 @ 4:21pm
Stay subscribed for updates... this is just a first pass. I plan to add a few more analyzers in convenient locations, plus the ability to add one to your player home.
