Awesome! I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, AL and am rather knowledgeable about the watershed peoples of the 'Mighty Mississip'. I've been to Moundville NUMEROUS times and am NEVER unwilling or unhappy to go again! Thank you for your time and effort put into this. Cheers!

The music? They're tracks from the Sanctuary album by R. Carlos Nakai.

The specific value scales to map size. On the biggest maps it maxes out at 16.

In the city screen view, under the button Maize Economy it says 16 tiles away from current regional centers
Tomatekh  [author] 22 Aug, 2017 @ 12:32pm
The regional center will be the highest population city in an area. So, if you had a regional center with 6 pop and one of its tributary cities suddenly became 7 pop, that 7 pop city will become the new regional center while the old one will become a tributary. However, you can have multiple regional centers at a time. As long as a city is 12 tiles from the closest regional center or on another continent it can become its own regional center with its own tributary cities. The 12 tile distance is so that there's no overlap tiles between the two regional centers.

Oh awesome! Follow up question, how large does a non-regional center have to be to usurp the regional center title? I assume to do so, it has to be outside of that 10-12 radius?
Tomatekh  [author] 21 Aug, 2017 @ 7:57pm
No, if you settle a city far enough away (I think it was about 10-12 tiles away; the diameter of a regional center's influence) it will also become a new center. Settling on a new continent just does it automatically regardless of distance.

Hey, awsome mod! Just a quick question I couldnt find the answer for in the comments or the wiki. Is the only way to get a second regional center to found a city on another continent?
Techpriest Enginseer 20 Aug, 2017 @ 12:09pm
He used the JFD dummy method of placing an improvement onto the city. You can see it used in CBP's Inca mountain cities.
Civitar 20 Aug, 2017 @ 11:52am
Hey Tomatekh, how did you do the city graphic?

@HaHaCharade
When using this mod, Cahokia the city-state gets replaced with Chaco Canyon

@Soommor
Yeah, it's a great image, I just wish I could have found it at a slightly higher resolution. Originally, the mod artists that have helped me out with my other Civ V stuff were going to try and draw a new updated image based on it, but they're all busy making stuff for Civ VI now.

Man, the picture of the Mississippi culture priest with the club and severed head is an absolute classic.
HaHaCharade 18 Aug, 2017 @ 8:36pm
Curious, can there be a Cahokia city state if you play with this civ, or does it not use that name since it is also your capital? Looking forward to this one. Cahokia Mounds is about 30 minutes away from us here in St. Louis :)
Tomatekh  [author] 18 Aug, 2017 @ 7:16pm
Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed the mod.

This civ was an absolute blast to play. Maize Economy + Temple of Artemis can get you some really huge cities - so much so that happiness can become challenging. This led to a fun bit of parallel to the real historical Cahokia struggling to maintain its large population. Excellent mod.

There's a link to the civ modding wikia in the decription that probably actually has a detailed list, but it's basically all the big stuff but not the CBP (should work with the CP, though)
JEELEN 15 Aug, 2017 @ 6:36am
@Tomatekh lol...OK
Tomatekh  [author] 15 Aug, 2017 @ 6:34am
The mod support is the same as all my other civs. I just can't remember the names of all the mods :P
JEELEN 15 Aug, 2017 @ 6:31am
@Tomatekh There's nothing on mod support in the description.

Thank you so much for releasing the two civs! I saw this on CivFanatics for a while and was hoping it would be finished. Your mods were some of the best for Civ V!
Tomatekh  [author] 14 Aug, 2017 @ 2:17pm
These mods will also likely be the last mods that I release for Civ V. I hope everyone has enjoyed my work for the game over the past few years. Thanks for playing!
Tomatekh  [author] 14 Aug, 2017 @ 2:15pm
Hey, everyone! The Mississippi, Poverty Point, and the Great Spy were the last few Civ V mods I was working on when Civ VI was released. Although they’ve been available in some form on Civfanatics for a while, they remained largely unfinished thanks to Civ VI and a busier personal schedule.

However, I know a lot of people were looking forward to these mods – and I hated leaving them as they were – so I did the best I could to “finish” them and get them to a releasable state. Unfortunately, most of the top artists have already moved on to Civ VI. Because of this, the artwork is not exactly on the same level as my other mods. I hope this doesn’t stop anyone from enjoying these new civilizations and units. I put the same attention and work into them that I do with all my mods, and, personally, view them as having some of the most interesting abilities out of all the mods I have released.
