I'll try to find the energy to update things soon, thankfully most simple mods seem to work fine and just require me to test them. I would expect that you can probably run this mod as it stands.

Maybe its possible to make some food pods for animals? In my opionion for animals are to few items which you can build. So that you can cet up the pod for flesh as example, that my trex have enough to eat :D

Suggestion: Hospital beds made of cloth AND metal, since irl metal would be uncomfortable for many animals, and surgery would be done on a table instead. But mostly for aesthetics.

With this mod, I cannot build or destroy the original small animal beds without it making me not be able to click on any pawns and it hides the pawn bar up top completely. It also completely hides the option for me to craft the original beds as well.

@cucumpear - If you're not too squeamish about coding your own C# assembly and writing Harmony patches, there is a way to force pawns to sleep in the center of a bed with any arbitrary cell size (lines 20~43) [github.com]

Aligning it with the grid causes the animals to sleep in the corner rather than the centre.

Any possibility these could be changed to have their borders square with the grid, rather then centered on a single tile? It makes the walls bug out when it's placed next to a wall, because it's overlapping.

@-shhfiftyfive Maybe you have the same issue I had with Animals Logic, they frequently unassigned and refused to use the medical bed. In my case I was an idiot, animals were not allowed in my hospital and the beds were unassigned every time I confined them to a smaller "safe" zone during a raid and they couldn't reach the bed. Sorry for answering on an unrelated mod page, just read it and thought it might be it for you as well.

If you have the option to switch to a hospital bed, you presumably have Animals Logic too? My mod only adds the beds, not the actual functionality. Assigning pet beds is also a feature added by Animals Logic. If you have trouble with those I recommend asking there.

Without using those features I recommend making a zone for your animal hospital and assigning the animal you want to operate on to that zone.

i even tried taking the hospital beds and for some reason there is an option to set them as non-hospital beds, so you can assign a certain animal there as its bed. i did this, and within 5 seconds the game removes to assignment to unassigned.

is this mod what adds these "animal hospital beds"? idk. not a lot of documentation.

is there a way i can get animals to go to the animal hospital beds i made for surgery. right now i set a surgery and they go sleep in any bed, and the surgeon will go do the surgery there. the animal hospital beds are being completely ignored by the animals.

the mod "a dog said" allows the surgeries. but the hospital beds are being ignored by animals.

ok I solved the problem of the UI and it was not caused by your mod (it was caused by new update of Mints menu mod). Sadly the problem that I can't build the bigger version of wood and leather animal bed persists (even if I can build the three size "empty" bed). I tried to load the game with only your mod and it works. There must be some conflicting with other mods. It used to work in the previous update :(

Hello, sorry to bother you but I've problem with this mod too in 1.0
I can't build the bigger version of the wood bed and the comfy bed and I'm experiencing strange UI issues but I don't know if that is caused by your mod. maybe @Echo can help me with his backup of previous version of this mod? Thank you anyway

you need to update Harmony as it is not a recomanded version right now. Should update it to 2.0.0.7 or use Harmony as dependit mod

Well then it's just RimWorld acting up again.
No worries, I made a backup of all mods as soon as 1.1 was announced so I still got the original 1.0 version which my save file is happy with =)

It works on a new save but not on my old one. There's a whole lot of error messages and the UI is broken.
It might be important to note that my save is using modified building defs that allow for two animals per spot (by increasing the size).
I don't really have time to do further debugging right now though. Maybe you could try to set up a 1.0 game with an old build of your mod and then try to load the save with an updated version.

I also deleted my last comment as I don't want the error log to be linked here forever.

OK, Hugslib has a feature to create and share logs. Try hitting Ctrl+F12 to do that. Without a log I can't do anything to figure out what's wrong.

I don't know. It seems that after the update the mod throwed a lot of errors. Even worse, the errors, in the log, seem to be completely unrelated to this mod (ex. Common Sense errors, Simple Sidarms error, HugsLib errors, A dog said error, etc. etc.) It was very difficult to understand what the hell was going on

Game won't let me install them. I can build and uninstall just fine, but installing gets me an error.
