But if preference matters, the image posted in the comments looks more funny to me from an asthetic point of view. The gloves are essentially mittins, he's wearing mostly mail rather then plate, and it's the extremely typical templar look - and that's coming from me! The lover of all things templar! (even in fantasy games I play the class generally most associated with templars - the paladin)
The current version's armor goes well with the backround, so that it doesn't stick too far out in the current version. But if you're able to /choose/ from one backround image to another, then that's another matter entirely! The more the merrier.
