The main gimmick is that this both acts like a shotgun AND a melee weapon, allow me to explain.
If you press MOUSE1 when far away from any opponents, It would act like a shotgun. but if you press MOUSE1 in range of a melee attack at an opponent or if you press MOUSE2, it would act like a melee weapon, but faster and stronger without setbacks, encouraging players to use its melee more often.

This weapon would definitly spice up soldiers gameplay, if the bayontet did something. It should be like the splendid screen, able to do melee damage as a secondary, but without the charge. If this weapon was balanced nicely, then it would be great in tf2.

Could use some detailling on the 'top' of the gun though. The rest looks great, but the topside seems rather bland an uninspired. Maybe some sort of exotic trigger, sight or chunk of metal would look fitting there.

i could see the knife being thrown as alt fire that causes bleedout, with a recharge time of 15 or 20 secs.

I would love to see this as a skin on fpsbanana or tf2mods.net . Great work.
