As others have found here in the comments, there's now an old reference bug to indianapolis in this mod. I wrote about it here

Hi this mod create this at start the game : Missing virtual CMP src-indy500 v17.0330 , i have uninstall this mod et the message disapear :) I use +trace=2 to find the problem, thanks

this is a great mod - the stock setup is very balanced, and the physics are great. Shame this is only one of 3 decent drift cars in the game: would love to see more!

Very nice.... this is heaps of fun, is there a v8 option? i thought i saw a vid of the red car with v8? Maybe they altered the sound.
