units do not have scouting

I'm completely unable to actually select this civ (among others) in the civ selection in a mod game aside from a single civ. (RInea) does this actually require any of the DLC or something?

There's a new variant of Alm that has been released in FEH. If you guys want to use that, that's ok... I mean, he is suppose to be the Saint-King, right? Just adding my opinion out there.

ok this mod is really cool, adding a lesser known character from Fire Emblem but Alm first appeared in FE Gaiden which released after the first one

LordofAdmirals Ok, thanks! Now to find it.

@gasterMaster70 There's a Fire Emblem Map pack that includes Valentia and has true start locations for the civs so they start in the right place
GasterMaster70 12 Jul, 2018 @ 9:00pm
Cool! Now all we need is a map of Valentia.

I’m glad you guys like his rework! I’ve spent a long time evolving it from the messy first time modder project it was to what it is today.

I’m glad you like the leader specific first greetings too! They’re small changes but they add a lot.

Man I absolutely love how you did adjusted other FE nations first contact responses if player plays as Alm ))) Cool

The true name of Alm has been revealed; His full name is Albein Alm Rudolf, found out to be the one and only son of the ruler of Rigel, Emperor Rudolf, whom he died in battle.

He, in his dying breath, was right to entrust Alm to his dearest friend, I think Mycen. What Rudolf had said that Duma have become a thing of mindless evil. Thus, that is why Alm has to take his weapon, the Divine Falchion, and take the final fight to Duma Tower so that he would finish his quest

I started playing this mod yesterday, and when I leveled up my villigers (whice were upgraded from warriors) they didn't get their promotions. There might be something wrong with villigers that come from already leveled warriors, because both were lvl2+
LordofAdmirals  [author] 5 Oct, 2017 @ 9:11am
Yeah. Even though it takes more time it makes them way better.
JotNyangE 29 Sep, 2017 @ 8:29pm
Absolutely love every CIV mod that is packed to the teeth with unique dialogue!
LordofAdmirals  [author] 16 Sep, 2017 @ 5:35pm
Kobazco has already done one actually, so you can download his.
Manchu 14 Sep, 2017 @ 12:35pm
Love the mod btw, would you ever plan on doing a soundtrack mod to bring out more songs from FE:echoes when playing the civilization?
Manchu 14 Sep, 2017 @ 12:32pm
It's a problem on steams end. Sometimes it shows sometimes is doesnt. Use http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/ to manually unpack the files into the MODS folder
LordofAdmirals  [author] 12 Sep, 2017 @ 2:30pm
Not sure what would cause that problem but I suspect it's a problem in your end. You could try re subscribing or I could post it somewhere else for you to download and manually add.

It doesnt seem to be adding itself into my MOD files after this new patch, in fact it just disappeared.

why the heck isn't the war theme march to deliverance
LordofAdmirals  [author] 1 Sep, 2017 @ 12:34pm
Yeah the Merc Kingdom is a good one too. I've thought about it a little but I'll definitely be doing Celica first.

Hmm. Undiscovered Horizons is certainly a good theme, But personally I like Serenity a bit better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Horizons is just a little bit too Fire Emblem main theme for me.
Yeem 1 Sep, 2017 @ 12:28pm
I really love what you've done with the mod btw! Also just a slight nitpick. Have you considered changing the peace theme to Undiscovered Horizons? (Alm Ch.3 Overworld theme) i think it'd be much more fitting. But the mod is great either way.

You know I was thinking the same thing! Celica as an alt leader with like a unique caravel that starts with Boarding Party I and has extra Combat Strength. could be called like the Mila Ship or the Saber Ship. And the Temple of Mila is a great idea if you're going with Celica. The smithy was actually an idea I came up with if I wanted to do the Merc Kingdom lead by Jesse that they talk about at the end of the game.

Thanks memeslinger! Most of that feedback is already being worked into an update which is coming very soon. (some earlier commenters made similar points)

As for the forge idea I may use it as I plan on making Celica at some point. My previous idea was to make the mila shrine or temple as a replacement to the shrine or temple. I would have her focus on diplomacy and faith rather than war. Though maybe she would be naval considering all the pirate battles XD

As for feedback to the mod, It's alright. I like how Alm's AI personality lends him to be quite aggressive, I think you nailed it on that front. I definitely would axe the 1 Movement on Barons and give the Iron cost that people have been suggesting. And instead of using Valbar as the artwork, try the generic enemy baron. Looks a lot better imo. The trait is meh, and generic.Something like the Friendly territory buff and maybe having Land units have Drill I (because of how Terrain works in Gaiden) May be a little bit better. I also love the villager unit, it's very unique and it's a very great idea. I suggested a unique building replacement if you think you can make room but honestly that's just more of an idea I wanted to share. But overall the mod is coming along nicely, and it's a very solid start for you as a modder.
Yeem 31 Aug, 2017 @ 6:09pm
I actually have a decent idea for a unique building. the Smithy, Replaces the forge and provides 2 Iron, and gives +2 GPT from Gold and Silver Sources (Like the mint). In case you wanted to make a secondary leader Like Celica.
Dutch_Aura 25 Aug, 2017 @ 4:56am
that trait sounds good too
i think costing iron instead of lowering movement is good. Maybe a slightly lower power to make sure it doesn't absolutely destroy everything
Looking forward to the finished mod :steamhappy:
LordofAdmirals  [author] 23 Aug, 2017 @ 11:11am
@Thekillertb Right now I'm working on the trait being a combat bonus in friendly lands and decreased xp cost to level up, since the "Spirit of the Deliverance" is in common people rising up and defending their country.

as for the baron the increase is only around 5 combat strength. adding iron isnt a bad idea but would it bee too much considering he only has 1 movement?
Dutch_Aura 23 Aug, 2017 @ 3:28am
For the trait it might be good to give him a combat bonus against civs with less happiness and less unhappiness from captured cities, because he is a "liberator".
I think adding the Iron to the baron is a good way to counter his increased power.
LordofAdmirals  [author] 18 Aug, 2017 @ 3:14pm
Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't really sure about what Alm's trait should be which is why it's slapped together and lackluster. I'll keep thinking about it though.

The villagers have the same as the kris yeah. I'll look into making custom promotions as the kris... has some issues.

The baron is meant to be a defensive unit, which is why I gave them cover as well as buffing their combat a bit. Its true that 1 move units cant get anywhere, but I wasn't sure how else to balance them and push the focus of them to defence. I could require them to be build with iron i suppose.

Now that I'm a bit more confident about the modding process I can be more ambitious with the content.
Kobazco  [author] 18 Aug, 2017 @ 1:42pm
Feedback, because as it stands this mod is kind of like the not so great Seliph and FE13 ones. First off, do the Villagers use the same random promotions as the kris swordsman? If so, you should go about making our own.

Just as a general rule of thumb: It's NOT a good idea to take parts of other civilizations already existing in the game and just tack them on to your own and call it a day. The Trait itself feels quite lackluster, as it's just Japan's trait with some free exp thrown in. I suggest you think of something else that fits Alm/The Deliverance better. (Note, I still haven't played Echoes past chapter 4)

The Baron is a nice idea, but who would ever want to use a 1 move unit in Civ V? There's a reason they don't exist, and this is why. They're never going to get anywhere, although Hector also did this so I suppose it could work. But then again, theres already an FE civ that did the General/Baron idea, so there's that.
