1) Afraid so, all my additions were based on assuming the vampires were chosen
2) I only made cosmetic changes, so if the expansion allows spouses etc in, there should be no problem with my mod
3) As mentioned above, I dont think this mod would work for you if you wanted to use Volkihar as a Dawnguard base- sorry.
4) I didnt change the docks (never got round to it). I left the undercroft too, as my new basements are nice as a seperate feature.
Hope this helps :)
P.S. Sorry for the late reply.
Actually I have been doing that and NOBODY seems to know how.
Thank you for your reply
Marethyu: Sorry for the late reply; If you like, I can send you the mod file itself? I have done this successfully before, so let me know if you would be interested?
BloodgodArmor: I wholeheartedly agree. Sadly, I have not had much experience with character modelling, however I would recommend searching around for a mod to deal with that problem specifically.
And have Orcs, High elves, wood elves, and dark elves keep thier color, but have the glowing eyes and fangs?
I don't know why they had the vampire to show up with this grey head and normal body.
That just look SO stupid!
The Baths can be accessed via the Chapel which, in turn, can be accessed via the North Tower.
The Ice Bridge can be accessed via the Baths (See above for directions). There is a key opposite the door, held in a bloodied hand.*
*Havoc sometimes drops the key, so if you are having trouble finding it, have a look on the floor nearby.
Please keep enjoying, commenting and rating!
@SnowberryGal: Thank you for your feedback, I do try to keep my additions believable. (That sounds a bit absurd when talking about a Vampire-inhabited castle!)
To answer your queries - I have not made any intentional alterations to the Keep. It is crammed full of quest stuff, so I stayed well away. I will investigate though, to be sure.
To find the key, go along the corridor in the Baths towards the Ruined Tower door. Opposite that door is a table. On the table is a bloody hand. The key is held in that hand.
(If it is not there, the Havok physics may have thrown it onto the floor)
The bridge has to be accessed via the Baths the first time. Use the Ruined Tower door (with the key you have just found) to enter this side. Be ready. There is a pull-chain to the left of the portcullis.
You can now also open the opposing portcullis with a pull-chain on it's right side.
Any other problems, do let me know!
I've downloaded the Mod and explored. I like the new East and North Towers and the flowers on the Courtyard patios. Bathroom is lovely. I like your planting scheme there. All the new rooms have been very well done and your layout is realistic - some player homes go on for miles! The East Tower feels really homey.
A query though. I think I may be having problems with another Volkihar mod I downloaded, so just to check, have you made any alterations whatsoever to Volikhar Keep - deleting blood, bone, rubble, doorways, and so on? I realise you haven't put the Keep in your Changelog, but I'm just trying to see if anything has been left over from the other mod.
Also, I can't find the key to open the doors (bathroom and balcony) to get into the new Ruined Tower and how do I get into that icy looking stone bridge area with the portcullis at the end (picture above) and the draugr room (pictures above)? Have I missed something?
Happy New Year!
A couple of you have mentioned DLC. This mod does require the Dawnguard expansion.
@gmackdaddy123: I am hesitant to edit the Throne Room because so many important parts of the storyline occur there. I can have a look though...
@blake.faimon: I have tried to make the Castle spouse-compatible but I have had no success. I'm sorry, I know this is a common request.
@madiekester: Im glad you enjoyed the pun, I hope the castle equally entertaining!
