so there is a newer mod then this one?
MarcDiver 26 Jun, 2015 @ 10:24pm
Ah, like many it was one of my first mod installed. Only one problem now tough... there is no room for children. So no possible way to move a familly there even with another mod that allows it because they have no bed.

I personally Love this mod and fell in love with it from the start!. It's the first place I travel to after getting out of Helgen when I don't feel like playing right into the main quest. It is follower freindly as well, especially with all of the follower tweak mods that are out there. I actually have a follower group of 5 that walk around the courtyard and "battlements", chop wood, smelt ore, lean up against walls etc. without leaving the "exterior" space. They cook, clean, craft etc., on the interiors as well . It's truly a "mini" keep be-fitting a Thane or "lesser" noble lol. If you did change anything, I think it would take away from the "role play" aspects it provides!

After a long and hard search i finaly found a house wich suited my tastes. And yes i love the fact that there ar no NPC's here. Saves me from deleting (or murdering) them manualy. And unlike most mods this house doesn't give you a ridicilous amount of gold, ingots etc. Also i love the basement armoury. Not to many display's and not too few, just the right amount. Plenty of storage and a perfect enchanting/alchemy room. The only problem i have is that the main gate cant be barred (and of course the collision bug). Otherwise iff you're in the market for a quiet, walled, woodland retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city without anoying greyfaced NPC's who keep getting in your way, i highly recommend this mod.

Stupid question: Are you able to actually own the mod houses in game in the same manor that you own the houses you purchase in towns?

It's a game bug.

I see you are too social for this world. No its ok, if you dont want, its your character and decision!
cire992  [author] 12 Sep, 2012 @ 9:55am
"BUT you also have to accept demands of players"

No, I really don't. I usually just ignore suggestions I don't like. I don't owe you my attention or free time, I said I wasn't going to do it.

"because if you upload a mod you dont do it for yourself, you do it for other people."

I gave you my mod. That doesn't entitle you to anything or give you say over what I do with it. You look like you aren't even sure about what you wrote.
Partizan 12 Sep, 2012 @ 3:49am
I say you something. As modder, the people have to be graceful to you if its a good mod, and this here is one of the best mods over Nexus and Steam. BUT you also have to accept demands of players, because if you upload a mod you dont do it for yourself, you do it for other people. You say people can edit the mod, but for me its clear, its your mod, and if someone edit the mod its you, who should do it. I mean it as moral attitude, not unfriendly or ordering to you. I mean this mod is perfect, not like all this big stupid overfurnished and oversized castles, for me just maybe 1-2 people should be there, if you are on adventures, bandits couldnt burgle in the home! ;) But ok its your decision! Then the mod is maybe follower friendly?
cire992  [author] 11 Sep, 2012 @ 9:11pm
No, I didn't want to add npcs 6 months ago and I still don't want to now.

Seriously, people, I am not going to add guards, butlers, vendors, companions, trainers a dog or any of the other stupid shit people keep begging for. I've playing with this since I finished it and frankly I'm happy with the place the way it is, it serves its purpose.
Partizan 8 Sep, 2012 @ 3:31pm
Please add some!
Partizan 5 Sep, 2012 @ 10:15am
Can you add some NPC's?????
KentiTiger 31 Aug, 2012 @ 9:37pm
Regarding access to the scripts, I've tried everything I could think of: CK, TESVsnip, etc, and I still can't seem to access any of them. Any suggestions? Thanx again for your time.
MarcDiver 15 Aug, 2012 @ 9:15am
Why no npcs, that fort could almost be a quest. Like it's an old fort near Riverwood, you invest some gold so ppl of riverwood will "rebuild it" as an house. Then you invest event more in the surrounding area. Like invest in a mine, that would be at the back of the fort (near the road of the East gate). So Riverwood become more prosper, and you become some kind of a lord. And cuse of it you can hire personal guard that you can personalise like all others followers. That juste an idea. Or simply add the option to get guards without all the stuff I said.
cire992  [author] 13 Aug, 2012 @ 4:22pm
You don't need persmission, it's right on the readme...
KentiTiger 13 Aug, 2012 @ 2:56pm
I looked in the CK, but while I can get to the properties and variables of the script, the script itself is not accessible for some reason. Besides, I wanted to ask permission and all that kind of stuffs. Thanx again for the time and consideration.
cire992  [author] 12 Aug, 2012 @ 10:25pm
cant you see them right in the ck? I'm not quite sure I still have them lying around.
KentiTiger 12 Aug, 2012 @ 11:05am
I am trying to learn about inventory sorting, which you have apparently mastered in this mod. Would you be willing to share your base script(s) for inventory sorting? I would like to incorporate a similar methodology into several of my mods, if you are willing to share. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Alexandus 9 Aug, 2012 @ 8:30pm
Not sure if its my system or anything, but I get an odd drop in fps when I am in/near this location...might be because of using graphics mods but i cant be sure.
cire992  [author] 9 Aug, 2012 @ 5:05pm
Yeah, I consider this mod to be finished. I've been playing with it since making it, and I've never found that I needed to add anything, escpecially npcs. I'm pretty much fine with it as it is.
Alexandus 8 Aug, 2012 @ 8:21pm
Agreeing with others that say this place needs some NPCs...something to make it seem like the place has a little life. Would be nice if you can bring followers there then they can train in the basement area and such.

I do however think this mod is possibly dead?
azzaro89 3 Aug, 2012 @ 2:04am
I have been searching for the perfect home in Skyrim and this is it. Perfect amount of display and storage areas, lore friendly, and big enough for me to feel important (which I am) but not pompous. Just perfect. Kudos, my friend, kudos.
Mr.Ichy 24 Jul, 2012 @ 2:11pm
I agree it needs some NPC its kinda big for one or two pepole but its a great mod.
Alex 22 Jul, 2012 @ 4:03am
I love your mod, but might I suggest adding a few npcs like maybe a blacksmith (to vendor to :P) and maybe one or two guards to just give it some livelyness.
Connortron7 9 Jul, 2012 @ 5:34am
Amazing. I have been looking at all the homes for my Nord. Walked through about 30 of em. This was my favorite. Bravo dude. Your an artist. Thank You.
soccercoach3 25 Jun, 2012 @ 6:16pm
Let me just say, that being a "mod" lover, oblivion etc... I absolutely love this mod! The player home is simple yet functional and pleasing to the eye... It doesn't go overboard and is "lore friendly"... Are there some "minor" issues here or there? Sure, but they are very, very minor and not even worth mentioning here... Like I said, I love it and so do my companions!
Iain of Ivarstead 22 Jun, 2012 @ 5:27pm
(continued from below) I also like the inventory sorters, a great feature although the potions and poisons didn't store all of the potions I had even though there is plenty of room in the chest. Need to fix the bookcases and the only other bugs I have found is some weapons go in upside down, Wuuthrad didn't sit right on the display case above the fire in the armoury (or it kept falling off) but these are hardly game breaking or a reason not to use the house. Thanks again for a great mod. Cheers
Iain of Ivarstead 22 Jun, 2012 @ 5:26pm
Great house, it is now my residence. I like the size - not too large but large enough to feel like I'm someone but not extravagant. Suits my Nord character perfectly. It works with Followers Relax and Spouses Live Anywhere mods. I cast the Spouses Live Anywhere in the fire pit in the main room, I have found Lydia in the main room, the bedroom and the kitchen. I have told her "we will be there for a while" (as per Followers Relax) at the top of the stairs leading to the basement and I have found her back in the main room each time. When telling her "we will be there for a while" in the basement she stayed in the one spot for most of the time so I am not sure if it has something to do with the area effect of the Spouses Live Anywhere.
B-Tech Viking 10 Jun, 2012 @ 3:04am
Love it <3 been looking for some kind of mead hall for my nord character and well when i stumbled apon this i thought i'd give it ago........my good its great. Perfect and well just amazing. love how its like a old fort not one of these huge empty forts that cant be filled like some other housing mods. Rated up Favorited <3
Miranda_Dashwood 8 Jun, 2012 @ 3:36pm
great mod. But i don't know if it is just me but the weapon rack display the weapon upside down. And if possible it will be great to add more book shelf with the other mod unlimited book shelf, that is really great by the way for custom decoration.
1beebee 2 Jun, 2012 @ 12:00pm
After using this mod for a few days I wanted to praise it again. Everything is still there when I get back and their are no problems. This is the very best house in Skyrim. I had the tower, the waterfall house and a couple of others that I tried, but I unsubscribed to them. This house is organized, big enough to be comfortable, but not so big that you walk forever in your own house. I love the forge outside. If you have ever been around coal burning, you know you don't want that in the house. The storage is great and well planned, the entire estate is well-planned. The only thing and this is for all the mod houses, not just this one, no spouse. I just wanted to use it a few more days to be sure it was a good working house. For my character it is the best piece of real estate in Skyrim and should be the #1 house on the list.
1beebee 28 May, 2012 @ 8:07am
This is the best house in Skyrim. I love it. If I could get someone to guard it while I`m gone and have my spouse there, I would never leave it. I love it. You should see it on a loaded Alienware M18X - beautiful. You have done a wonderful job.
waltershan 20 May, 2012 @ 10:04am
Why dosen't anybody ever make a mod with a shower. Does anybody bath?
Aldrik Von Ans 29 Apr, 2012 @ 7:13am
nice mod, I hope it stay stable. a blacksmith box for sorting other raw materials would be great i.e. gems, etc...
Deadcurze 11 Apr, 2012 @ 6:43am
looks good, but items disapearing and crashes :(
Prpich25 8 Apr, 2012 @ 8:54pm
Sad to say it does crash with the new update i wish someone would take over this mod. Says right in the licensing you can if you want. Its such a great mod, unlike any other house mod out there. But the lack of updates for about 2 months just kills it. Time to rate down and unsubscribe, what a shame.
none 25 Mar, 2012 @ 11:26am
keeps crashig out with the latest patch to skyim...
(March 24th 2012)
Albacete 20 Mar, 2012 @ 11:40am
This by far seems to be the most stable house mod for me. I've not lost any weapons or anything in it for that matter. When will you be doing any updates again?
