players can still get on rocks and the zeds will not seem them. That should be fixed with blocking volumes ?

They eventually make it to the beach, where they had a longer time to wait for help - some died, and were bagged - and grab whatever was nearby (boxes, old boats, metal sheeting) to construct more crude defenses. Unfortunately, they were not counting on the enemies rising from the swamps themselves (try it!) and were overrun - hence the presence of bits of dead bodies laying around and not just blood. There are some smaller "stories" in the map, but that's the main one.

Close, Org ;) The story "starts" at the edge of the map near the barn, where the group (a military/police group) came out of the woods and set up a small barricade. From there, they moved along a path alongside the barn, crossing a bridge (I think my notes call it the 'tall bridge') where they made another stand-off, with more barricades. After that, they began moving south-west, first scavenging supplies from the wrecked truck (but couldn't take them all - note the pile nearby) before being forced to run. They ignored the run-down house (never hide in a house! It's zed bait!) before moving south along the path next to the dry-marsh.

Xel'crin, there actualy is a story in the map. If you follow the trail of blood and corpses from (I think) one of the trucks, you can see how the last group there fell back constantly, baracaded on one of the bridges before falling back further, before being wiped out on the bridge.

This was simply an amazing map... the atmosphere... the environment... and the scale made this a very fun map for me to play. As I was playing this I got so into it I felt like I was playing an RPG and a story started to form in my head. Simply amazing work! :D

Superb map, it's a breath of fresh air with most maps being trashy corridors. However, when me and my friends play the map has considerably more crashes than any other, usually due to a memory issue, despite the map running on a system with 16GB RAM. Not sure if there could be any sort of memory leak.

Regardless, amazing map. Upset that we keep crashing on wave 10 or 11 but the trip to the patriarch is still awesome.

One of the best custom map I've played so far. The map is made for TEAMWORK! Very challenging because of the low visbility (if 1 goes astray, he's prolly dead). Ideal for 6-man HoE! Sticking together and kiting are the possible ways to survive this map because of the trader distance. Camp spots are very sketchy due to the spawns (which is awesome!). Nice job for creating this one hell of a map.

Re: pumpkinspoon - The name was chosen purposefully. :) However, there are no Baskervilles or a phosophorescent hound running around, but two of my dogs are present in the map in one form (in the SDK). ;)

Pretty nice map, if a little big. I got the feeling I would never see all of it as I'd be spending almost all my time running to the next trader.

Pretty great map. Can be TERRIFYING if you've only got one or two people, due to the challenge, but I consider that a positive! Even more fun with a full group!
