Does anyone get the issue where they always spawn in Tasmania or just me?

Great job, the maps nicely done and is fun to play with the Commonwealth of Australia mod. Keep up the good work.

I would find this map just awesome, as it has everything a good game needed, BUT...
There is absolutely no Aluminium, which makes it difficult to build any flying late-game units... .____.''

I mean, it sucks for approximating locales. Obviously the combat works exceptionally well.

Azimuth986: I will roger that. Good call.

First of all I LOVE this map, well done. One thing I might recommend, try adding an area of Plains between the Grassland and Desert tiles to make more of an even gradient. A lot of the "desert" areas on this map aren't strictly desert in real life, more "outback" which plains would suit better.
Scotchy98 18 Aug, 2013 @ 5:13pm
For those who cant find certain natural resources, do what I do and look up where they are located in australia ;). If you can work out approximately where you have started by exploring, you should have no problem working your way over to them.

Good map
i have found iron on desert

I have vanilla. To change the start position, install the Random Start Position mod from http://www.picknmixmods.com . I've only explored the south-east corner. Nice map, but there doesn't seem to be any iron or horses. None of the other civs have them either. Is this normal? Thanks!
Aroy 27 May, 2013 @ 10:38pm
but otherwise its awesome
Aroy 27 May, 2013 @ 10:38pm

Cat 16 Apr, 2013 @ 12:06pm

ZNemesis 26 Mar, 2013 @ 6:03pm
How do you get this Random Start Position mod now, with the Workshop?

My pleasure!

Festive Erma 25 Jan, 2013 @ 1:50pm
Hey maybe I should activate the mode first herp derp
Festive Erma 25 Jan, 2013 @ 1:49pm
Cant select the map either
enjibby 25 Jan, 2013 @ 5:49am
I just realised this has been tagged with "godsandkings" so I got me the expansion. Maybe that's the nooby thing I did.
Illy  [author] 25 Jan, 2013 @ 5:45am
You're not hitting the Back button at any stage are you?
enjibby 25 Jan, 2013 @ 5:21am
I know this should be easy, but I can't seem to load this map up! I have 1.0.2.21 of Civ V, I have downloaded the mod, enabled it in the mods section of the game, but the map does not appear amongst the available options when I set-up a single-player game (in either the normal or the advanced game map list). Is there anything extra I have to install or am I just doing something nooby?
Illy  [author] 5 Jan, 2013 @ 8:09pm
Alright, cool.

I'll wait to see what other people say too, but for now I'll put the Tasmania Situation (as it shall now be known) to one side to consider.
baltimorris 5 Jan, 2013 @ 8:08pm
Yeah, kinda.
But it is a well put challenge.
Illy  [author] 5 Jan, 2013 @ 8:07pm
Do the lack of resources make it challenging to start, at least?
baltimorris 5 Jan, 2013 @ 8:06pm
Not really, in my opinion.
Your capital is very remote and defended and it's easy to grow out your military.
Illy  [author] 5 Jan, 2013 @ 8:03pm
I think the only reason you start off in Tasmania is because the Hobart location is the first one I placed. I have no idea how to circumvent it. Is it a huge deal in terms of gameplay? Because I can always give Tasmania a few more resources to make to more viable (though I would hate to interfere with the challenge).
grograman 5 Jan, 2013 @ 3:26pm
Thanks for the rivers!
baltimorris 5 Jan, 2013 @ 2:01pm
Do you always start on Tasmania?
But still, great job on the map. Accurate and makes for some nice strategizing,
Illy  [author] 4 Jan, 2013 @ 8:02pm
Rivers should now be LIVE folks!*

*Assuming I updated it correctly. I'm new!
