ESO is set in an alternative timeline.

So, massive case of 'not sure if applies to present continuity'.
Geralt of Rivia 21 Mar, 2015 @ 5:51pm
@Prince of Ravens They did take away subscription fee.
Aurelian 21 Jan, 2015 @ 3:37pm
they shold just take away the subscirption fee i would buy then but with the subsciption fee to much work money and time... eather way the story is interesting and armor/weapons system is amazing

frankly i think the mmo could be better with either one time purchase or 5-10 bucks a month. That and watching quite a few gameplay vids the only thing that looks interesting to me is how good character making is. otherwise it looks like it forces quests alot and takes the fun out of finding quests by putting indicators over everyones heads. whats the fun of exploring when your streamlined into doing crap all the time. If I am wrong please correct me, never played, may play in the future. who knows I may actually have a stroke and play mmos again with all of the hordes of chinese gamers XD

After reading these comments I must be the only person who actually liked ESO. I just coudnt afford it while saving money for a new PC.

что он делает?

Jsimeone4, though at beta it was buggy and of course there are still bugs, it has done exceedingly well for an MMo. Though it does have plenty of faults (what game doesn't) I enjoy it.
Galinbradwarn 6 Apr, 2014 @ 6:07pm
The only thing the online game will do is eather kill the chance of TES 6 or at most delay it longer than it should have been as for me 20 mf my friends tryed bata and droped out, so not to worry i am give it one year from release to fall flat on it's face.
but good mod at least your doing something.
Skratt 20 Mar, 2014 @ 11:34pm
I've been playing the beta for ESO and i have enjoyed it, and yes there was some bugs, but wgat new games don't have them. and i will be playing it on its release day :)

Nice! I've been looking for an elder scrolls online mod, hopefully someone will do a mod for the racial Armours and weapons one day.
And just so you all know, Elder scrolls online has been in production since oblivion, if it was really going to kill the elder scrolls series Skyrim wouldn't exist.
NoAmmo 9 Nov, 2013 @ 4:03pm
Can All of you say if this mod is nice? Just yes or no please XD

@StarSword-C Warcraft was initially a single player RTS that was later adapted to support multiplayer, then was turned into an MMO. The books and comics did more to mess up the lore than the game did.

Ultima was a single player game... Ultima-Online was -great- for it's time... Minus the campers.

The Star Wars MMOs weren't absolute crap. The first one flubbed because it was changed after development and was butchered -then.- And SW:TOR's only downfall was the lack of endgame content.

So, no. Not every single MMO ruins a single player franchise. - Elder Scrolls Online exists. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's not going to happen.
That's like saying the LotR movies don't exist because they didn't follow the book word for word.

It's a spin off and, I believe, they said it was not canonical with the current lore. It's a spin off.

if skyrim was multiplayer there would be 2 or more dragonborns
StarSword-C 8 Aug, 2013 @ 12:06pm
@Copperkitty: No, I mean I refuse to acknowledge that it exists, because every single MMO that has ever been made from a previously single-player series has been absolute crap and utterly destroyed the existing lore. Ergo, there is no such thing as The Elder Scrolls Online.

@zhaythorn: If it existed, which as previously mentioned it does not, it would be set several hundred years before the series that does exist takes place, during the Second Era. TES 1-4 take place in the Third Era and Skyrim takes place in the Fourth.
Crawl 8 Aug, 2013 @ 11:21am
i owe you a major thanks Estel. but i read the basis for Online, like the sides and stuff, and i think that it would be quite hard to make a game that takes place after it. i hope they have an TES: Blackmarsh or TES: eleswyer

TESO is no more than a difrent spinoff of the main series like the games The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and the four mobile games.
Also the recent announcement about The Elder Scrolls Anthology for PC does not mean the end of the Elder Scrolls series:
http://elderscrollsotr.mymiddleearth.com/2013/08/02/anthology-does-not-mean-the-end-of-the-elder-scrolls-series/
We got nothing to worry about ;)
Crawl 8 Aug, 2013 @ 8:38am
speaking of TESO, does anybody know if TESO will be the last TES game? i mean, it was TES:I, TES:II, TES:III, TES; IV, TES:V, then TESO, it would be a bit odd if they added an TES:VI, as it would be the seventh game but say it was sixth, or if it was TES:VII it would be odd because there was no TES:VI
Wagamuffin 26 Jul, 2013 @ 7:29pm
Yes there is, Starsword. It's an Elder Scrolls MMO in production by Zenimax. It's currently in Beta Testing.
StarSword-C 25 Jul, 2013 @ 8:48pm
There is no such thing as The Elder Scrolls Online .
The1Walkman 21 Feb, 2013 @ 1:11pm
skyrim will always be the best elder scrolls game that has been realeased....That is until Bethesda comes out with Elsweyr
Blackgrin 15 Feb, 2013 @ 6:50pm
Great update! I like the new page 1 graphics!
The Cyber System 14 Feb, 2013 @ 7:07pm
@Defender of The White Tree: Same here. I really wish someone would make an Ouroboros in a mod. If someone did that, I would definitely subscribe. Books - not so much, but in this case, I'll make an exception.
Blackgrin 13 Feb, 2013 @ 12:50pm
A new one called "The Stories of Tamriel: Travails and Triumphs of a Monarch" has been posted today. Hope to see it soon. :)
Fury Road Warrior 12 Dec, 2012 @ 11:11am

opaj 8 Dec, 2012 @ 2:27pm
I hope you'll add any other books they release for ESO to this mod. And possibly add them to the leveled lists. :)
