doesnt work, but i would love to use it...

Is it possible to add deconstructing of excess items? I know its possible because I found a script that is similar to TIM and can deconstruct items past quota (Isy's Inventory Manager https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1216126863) but it's not as good as TIM. and it would be way better if I could use only TIM for all my assembly, disassembly and sorting. instead of using TIM and Isy's Inventory Manager together.

This needs to be updated

Doh :steamfacepalm:
I just found that the FORCE tag works, so please move this request to the very bottom of your to-do list :-P
KatoNamus 30 Dec, 2017 @ 11:29am
Much obliged good sir
{SD} killer124n  [author] 30 Dec, 2017 @ 10:53am
definately will try to fix that :-)

Hi {SD} killer124n, I'm loving your port of this script so far, just ran into a bit of a problem with TIM not wanting to put gravel into the Gravel Resource Extractor (Ingot/Stone is "unrecognized or ambiguous" as per debug LCD).
I'm expecting the problem to be with the GRE mod itself, but would really appreciate it if you could somehow make the script adapt to it, please?
FPC 26 Nov, 2017 @ 6:49pm
Awesome to hear! The original one is unplayable in MP
{SD} killer124n  [author] 26 Nov, 2017 @ 6:42pm
Certainly currently working on optimization and bug fixes :-)
FPC 26 Nov, 2017 @ 6:39pm
TIM is currently causing very severe lag in MP dedicated server whenever it runs. You can use shift f1 to verify this. Any chance you will take over bugshooting for author? :( he seems inactive.

Never mind I just realised adding an argument to scan=Welders on the programmable block sorts it out. Thanks for the great script!

Has this script been updated to include the Nanobot Build & Repair Mod as well? As I have just tried it and it's not pulling from the nanobot inventory when it fills up from grinding.
Feral 23 Oct, 2017 @ 4:19pm
No worries. The ball is in KSWH hands at this point and if you can use those 15 lines to provide rudimentary compatability with a few other mods for now, all the better.
{SD} killer124n  [author] 23 Oct, 2017 @ 4:13pm
Would do that Feral but yeah its too close sorry its like 15 lines off and I am trying to use them to filter new machines if I find any its missing sorry
Feral 23 Oct, 2017 @ 3:59pm
Yeah I usually keep components, ingots, tools/bottles, ammo, and ore in their own storage containers. I'm not using the NCF anymore but, if I were, instead of doing just the component tag I'd rather set a reasonable quota for each component individually on the NCF (even if that is a bit time consuming) and have the rest stored elsewhere. I wish the auto tag worked so it would only take and hold what it needs when it needs it but I know this script is pretty close if not right at the character limit.
{SD} killer124n  [author] 22 Oct, 2017 @ 11:32pm
for the nanite factory its [TIM Component] that flag says take all components here
Feral 22 Oct, 2017 @ 8:21pm
Interesting. At the time when I posted that I had a NCF running on a ground base. I had other inventories labeled with ore, ingots, and components. This version of TIM wouldn't pull any of those out of the NCF so it would just stack up until it was full or I moved it manually, just as tmdart below experienced. I ended up just connecting it with a sorter and the power toggle reversed for each on a timer so I could switch between running and emptying the inventory. Found it interesting that the NCF could pull what it needs through an unpowered sorter. So with this script are we able to just put [TIM AUTO] on it or do we have to input everything we want the NCF to have in the name manually?
{SD} killer124n  [author] 22 Oct, 2017 @ 7:52pm
Actually Feral with this version tim can pull from ncf
{SD} killer124n  [author] 22 Oct, 2017 @ 7:51pm
thx tim I prob should have that set by default
RoboDodd 22 Oct, 2017 @ 6:36pm
If you set the const SCAN_WELDERS = true , nano bots mod work too.
Feral 18 Sep, 2017 @ 10:39am
Never mind. I did some testing and answered my own question. NCF gives no f*cks and pulls resources for construction even when it's only connection to the conveyor network is a sorter. You just have to toggle the drain all function off while it is in use so the sorter doesn't pull the resource out of the NCF before it is allocated.
Feral 18 Sep, 2017 @ 10:17am
Since TIM can't pull inventory from the NCF and you'd have to use a sorter to pull everything out, how do you route supplies to it for construction? Do you just have to put one sorter as an input with all of the components and one as an output for everything so it constantly cycles only components through the NCF inventory and it can use them as they are cycled?
CapitanDart 13 Sep, 2017 @ 2:23pm
That does not work, at least not on a dedicated server. TIM also will not pull anything from it without the use of sorters. Using the force tags on these blocks will cause TIM to error out a lot and have to be recomplied.
3xp 13 Sep, 2017 @ 9:19am
you could also just name your nanite control factory with this [TIM FORCE:Component] without a unofficial patch ;)
CapitanDart 12 Sep, 2017 @ 3:13pm
Thanks a million man,
{SD} killer124n  [author] 12 Sep, 2017 @ 3:12pm
next time I load up space engineers sure thing I will add that :-)
CapitanDart 12 Sep, 2017 @ 1:39pm
This is awesome. Any chance you could also include the Nanobot mod as well?

{SD} killer124n  [author] 11 Sep, 2017 @ 9:07pm
it auto crafts components and some types of ammo till it meets the limis and you can optionally add to nanite [tim Component] to get it to send to nanite and on top it can use your ingots, ores from nanites to sent to refinery, arc furnace, assembler or whatever it needs
tommorox2345 11 Sep, 2017 @ 9:04pm
So does it automatically detect Tim and tell it to make what the nanites want?
Tyo Atrosa 31 Aug, 2017 @ 4:14pm
i keep the delay at 10sec to avoid lag, but the best trick i've found is to manually assign component amounts to store in the NCF. that way it is always ready to go, though it does make the tags much more complicated.
{SD} killer124n  [author] 31 Aug, 2017 @ 1:15am
I recommend setting its delay for 3 secs. hope that fixes it
Tyo Atrosa 30 Aug, 2017 @ 11:36pm
I've had to resort to either turning TIM off at times to get it to repair properly, not sure whats interfering with it. i'm pretty sure it's actually a bug with the NCF though, the script works perfectly.

Thanks for this much needed modification, it's exactly what i was needing for a while for cleaning up my base.
{SD} killer124n  [author] 30 Aug, 2017 @ 5:04pm
I dont know how to do that but try to do like [Tim Component:P1] that should prevent that
Tyo Atrosa 30 Aug, 2017 @ 4:10pm
i noticed a bit of a bug using it, when using the NCF to construct TIM tends to pull the components back out of it before it can place them. is there a way to make TIM only check the NCF every 10th-25th cycle, in order to give it time to work before pulling the components back out?
{SD} killer124n  [author] 30 Aug, 2017 @ 2:32pm
Yeah its the same exact thing as taleden's inventory manager just I added nanite control factory support even the same usages
Tyo Atrosa 30 Aug, 2017 @ 12:50pm
So this will work exactly the same, just with the ability to sort items from the NCF, right? if so that is awesome, my factory always ends up getting jammed up with too many components to build things properly.
