How would I make this work on LW Mechs as Sparks? I've tried adding +bAllowAWCAbilities=1 to each individual class on top of this, but nothing shows up.

The same as all the other soldiers (except some limitations like Deep Cover since a spark can't take cover)

@rolfey1328: Works for me (both clickable in training center and directly from the barracks). I think the problem is that the unit isn't "refreshed" when you add it mid campaign (e.g. if you create a new spark it should work), this mod only changes the XComClassData.ini file so no code is actually executed.

@bot/Ai MP hater: A bit hard to read but did it work for you or not?

i downloaded lots of mods and when i tried launching it kept saying the same crash msg and then i tried removing the mods i thought wer the cause,when i finally have the remaining mods i used bfore the lots of mods downloaded it stil giving the same bullcrap only by deselecting all the wotc mods was i able 2 launch the game,i xit selected my usual mods and it gave me the same shit so i finally decided 2 uninstal and then installing it again if this doesnt work goodbye wotc 4 the rest of my life!

Hi I just downloaded this mod mid-campaign while using the metal over flesh redux, along with a few other mods (updated to WotC). Whenever i click on the train abilities button in the training centre the option for my spark unit is greyed out, like in vanilla. Any help is appreciated :)

I notice that I can't invest in any XCOM abilities with normal units (not sparks) even though I have the AP available. I don't know if it's this mod. Has anyone else had this problem?

I restarted the game with no mods, it looks like my issue is with the new patch somehow conflicting with the Last Gift dlc.

I tested it and everything works as it should for me. Lots of people have been forced to regenerating their ini files (I haven't), is this something you have tried?

It seems the latest patch broke this mod. At the moment, I'm brought to the armory whenever I try to view the Spark's abilities screen, but end up staring at the Spark's lone drone and nothing else shows up, forcing me to restart my game as I can't leave this screen.

I have only tried the one by Penny, but didn't know that there where specific voice lines, maybe I should try a "normal" psi ops :)

Hm If the soldier doesnt get his own AP by leveling then i can say it would be balanced since youd need to spend your Shared pool on em.

I tried Normalise Psi but for whatever reason it didnt have ANY AWC perks for me . might need a new Psi op i suppose.. id try it again.

The problem with the other 3 mods is that they actually create a new class and thus the Chosen voice lines towards em are not played which.. i havent yet heard ever soo there is that

@Ravenjim, I have already tried that and didn't get it to work correctly (you could buy the psi perks), I would recommend using one of the Psi classes instead:
- Psi Rookies WOTC, by Pegazul
- WOTC: Recruitable PsiOp, by Penny
- Psi Rookies Rebalanced Wotc, by Malidictus
- Normalize Psi Operatives, by Jace the Ace

I think it could be Classless mod affecting it. Someone else reported the bug using it.

Now grenades will end overdrive as well. The only way to get 3 attacks is to use heavy weapons + punch + shoot.

Ok, disabling a bunch of mods that were not updated for WOTC fixed it.

Spark overdrive starting doing something weird recently. I can activate it, fire rockets, throw grenades, and it won't end the turn. But as soon as I take a shot, it always ends. I wonder if its a .ini conflict or something.

I had a hang issue with the old "Disable Psi Lab" mod, which would prevent the SPARK introduction video from playing. I don't think it's related to this mod.

+ another one but that one you shouldn't use if you aren't building the Highlander yourself :)

I would say that that's probably, a good idea unfortunately. This mod shouldn't be used in conjunction with Mr Nice's Trainable Spark, since that one includes this and a lot of other stuff.

I don't know what's causing this, but when I try to promote my spark, I just see the bit floating and no UI. I have to alt-f4 to close the game. Bradford and all the other stuff is continuing to play so it didn't freeze or anything.

I thought it was the "new promotion" mod or the "trainable spark" mod and I removed both. Didn't fix it.

Do I need to start a new game?

@Zamster TLDR: Working as intended, a fault on my side because I used mods from the get-go and didn't learn how the base DLC systems worked.

I was doing some fiddling with the mods I have enabled, and it was due to the New Promotion Screen by Default mod I was using, it let me see and use the Training Center upgrade screen without the Training Center, and it let me spend AP to purchase abilities without the Training Center just like the hero classes.

Opposed to the rest of the soldiers (using the Promotion Screen mod), I need to build and use a training center to be able to spend AP to add new abilities, but being able to see the screen before having the Training Center leaves the abilities greyed out and unable to be interacted with.

I did a very small test with Metal Over Flesh and could't see anything wrong with the awc abilities. Are you sure that its RealityMachina's mod and not Mr Nice's Spark mod that breakes the game for you?

Does this mod clash with Metal Over Flesh (I'm assuming it does) because with both installed all the abilities I don't choose on level up are greyed out and only give me a description when I select them. Thank's for the mod!

This mod CTD's the game if you use it with numerous other mods. I have a collection of mods I use for WOTC and I have to disable this mod to get rid of the CTD's.

As to Psi Operatives - have you guys considered using one of the Psi Rookies mods? Or do you necessarily want to the Vanilla Psi Lab mechanic?

Thank you kindly! This looks like exactly what I was after. The mod doesn't appear to be retroactive, however, which I suspect is an issue with how the AWC (now Training Centre) handles promotions and assigning AWC abilities. Oh, well - at least I can grab some extra skills for my SPARKs.

Question: Will this allow SPARKs to gain Ability Points from combat? Stuff for height advantage, flanking and so on?

@Magni that sounds rly strange, since I haven't touched shredder in any way except removing it from sparks awc table, hmm (but since its xcom I wouldn't put it past me that something happens...)
