@Akilae - Short version: download notepad++, go to this mod's install folder (1723475669 in your steam workshop folder for Xcom 2), and edit the text file there that lists ability names as seen in the screenshot of this mod.

You basically want to add a line just like the above, but then with the Proficiency ability names: 'WOTC_APA_Swordslice'

The Proficiency Plugins have a alternative names for some skills so copy pasting them on the config file of this mod works for me.

I am having the same problem with the Proficiency Plugin: Templar and also Jane Kelly plug in class. I believe they override this mod if used together or some lines need updating?

also noting that this doesn't seem to work, but I AM using a Proficiency Plugin: Templar mod that overhauls the class so :shruggie:

@Jaodow2 - If ANYONE has this issue, there's a simple solution:

1) Use your single extra action.

2) Complete the turns of all of your other soldiers as desired.

3) When only the Templar with extra moves is left with actions remaining, hit BACKSPACE. It'll automatically end your entire turn. I believe Delete ends a single characters' turn, but I don't have a Del key on my keyboard so use that information at your own discretion.

Think outside the box people ;)

This one doesn't seem to work (anymore)? I used it successfully in the past. But as I'm doing another play trough with about 300 mods it's not working ... any ideas?

Hey i wanted to let you know that if a templar uses the arcwave to kill more than a single lost the headshot ability still gives him an additional actions, meaning that if you kill 6 lost with a single blow you suddenly have 6 actions, a bit overpowered because my templar got to 11 actions and singlehandedly killed all advent troops.

I am doing a playthough as an evil rebel faction (World Eaters from Warhammer 40k) so i was wondering, is there a Rend the Civilians mod or something? Like killing civilians would give you an ekstra action.

Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Second run now, this has become one of my must-haves. Totally breaks the balance, but it's good to just kick back and kill a few dozen zombies every once in a while. Thanks for making this.

Cool mod, but a bit OP, is there anyway the melee headshot mechanic can behave in a way similar to the reaper ability (ie less damage on every kill)

This is awesome, i am gonna make a playthough as some badguys, where the Advent are actually protecting the world. And i would like a mod where i can "rend the civilians", get a free action for each civilian killed. CHaos cannot be denied.

@Militus Immortalis: I think I just managed to do this. If you go to the mod file, Config folder, XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini and add
"+ValidHeadshotAbilities=LightsaberSlash"
without quotes, theoretically that should work. Haven't tested it yet as I literally just did it, but I believe that is the correct ability tag from the Jedi Class Revised mod.

This makes The Lost no threat at all. Rend usually has a 100% chance to hit, and grants momentum, so you can just take one Templar and blitz through an entire mission where only The Lost appear. Love most of this modder's work, but this one in particular is not to my taste.

However, it does still work exactly as intended, so don't worry about that.

@sgt. Crutos are you using the Psionic Melee gauntlets? because those use a differently named Rend. See the Comment I posted to Warbox to add it to the list.

@Seipherwood Unsure, it's possible that Assault Marines slash is a different attack to the basic slash so if you can find that, you can make it work.

Tried adding Slash from the Profiency class Assault Marine and it just ends the turn, is there a way to get it to work with that attack?

Just tried this for the first time using a modded skirmisher templar hybrid (the Skirmisher Heretic mod) and the rend attack ended their turn. I'll keep experimenting, wondering if the custom class uses a different name for the attack behind the scenes. If that's the case, I imagine I can add that in to the ini easily enough. I'm also using World War L, and I have to wonder if that prevents this mod from functioning as intended.

Are there any mods that could conflict with this? I am using Msashis RPG overhaul, not sure if it is that,, but I cannot get this to work. I just played Lost and Abandoned and every time I used Rend on a Lost it would just end that soldiers turn.

@Lumiere - It happens when for me when 2 or more lost are in my guys bladestorm area and when I'm using a Samurai. Haven't noticed it when I was using Ranger.

Anyone having an issue with this mod and bladestorm? I'm not sure if its this mod or not, but when I bladestorm a lost, it gets stuck on their turn as if it's waiting for something to resolve, just freezing there. Anyone else seen or heard of this bug?

My word, this is so much fun! I love melee users like Templars and Rangers, and this makes them pretty much the best choices for Lost missions.

@RealityMachina this was probably one of your more simple mods to make but man it is one of my favorites. There is nothing like taking my favorite Ranger (one of my 4 family member chars I play with, Ranger is my wife) and running around like Michonne in TWD hacking Lost after Lost. Would be cool if you could have a UI button to Auto sword or rend kill like Mushasi Lost Autofire. Press the button and watch my Ranger run all over the map slashing Lost. HAHA Would probably be kind of glitchy though the way this game engine does multiple actions in a row with such lag even on high end machines.

The Templar's stacking Momentum left me wheezing with laughter after mine killed about 16 Lost, sprinted over to the knocked out VIP, and then hightailed it all the way back to the evac zone without even pausing. It was beautiful, primarily because I also didn't expect it.

Please, leave it as is. That was too much fun.

Still easily one of the best things to come out of the WOTC modders. Cross-map templars are rediculously broken, but oh so fun.

This mod is really great but i kinda want to ask if you could add something too keep momentum on templars down to a minimum as currenty i killed like 10 lost and could travel across the whole map due to it. im not complaining i just feel its a bit too over powered
