Shouldn't Operation Barbarossa be "The Great Patriotic War?" I'm not Russian, but when people refer to the Eastern Front they either say "the Eastern Front" ort TGPW. No one refers to the conflict as Operation Barbarossa, with the exception of historians referring to German military plans.

The German-Polish War was an actual war, and was the preferred name in Europe until Roosevelt popularized it in 1941. Can't imagine how you would implement that though. Maybe an event like "Roosevelt proposes new war name" and you get two alternate names as a choice. Just an idea for flavor.

How about the war stays the name it was given? Like if you declare war on France as Germany it stays the German-Franco war untill one of the nations surrenders then the name changes.

2nd mexican-american war?

Suggestions:
Second World War should be any Axis member vs any Allies member (Italy vs France, Hungary vs Allied Yugoslavia etc...)
Continuation war (second Finno-Soviet war, during Barbarossa)
Maybe "The Great Patriotic War" if you play as the USSR and get invaded by the Axis
The Third World War: if the Axis doesn't exists and the Allies and the Komintern attack eachother.

Since you have "Operation Barbarossa", why not make Fall Weiss and Fall Gelb? Operations against France and Poland repectively.

German-Hungarian war: Operation Margarethe
German-Romanian war: Operation Margarethe II

Here's an idea. Why not be able to rename a war to whatever you want?

Can you add a feature where if you declare war on a nation and its not historical, you can name it yourself?
