You could rename them. I don't think anyone's given the soldier list a "group by bondmate" option
aceboy_21 23 Jun @ 1:06am
Is there any way to keep the bonded soldiers close together. It's getting a little problematic when looking for the bonded partner when they're scattered. Especially when you have a lot of soldiers.

Does not seem to work. Any fix or alternative?

Cool. That's the fix 95% of mod problems maneuver.
Ampyr 2 Feb, 2023 @ 4:09pm
Clearing the config folders fixed it.

Dude. The mod's not changed in more than 5 years. The problem's your side.

This just stopped working for me following a mod jam update

I keep seeing that comment. Would you think about putting up a mod list?

Here, it doesn't work anymore in WotC.
Dęąth Viper 19 Oct, 2022 @ 11:39am
Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

Подсветка у меня заработала после установки мода [WOTC] Detailed Soldier Lists . Хоть он и встроен в LWOTS, но без него не было подсветки и не было видно негативных черт у бойцов в казарме.

@mctrevor & Rusty
For me the highlighting works with this mod in LWotC, the only negative things i could say is that the bond signs reroll the color every time i start the game and that some times there have 3 couples the same color (6 times a green sign in a row in the barracks :D) and i had only two more bonds (1 couple orange, one red) so it hadnt anything to do with too many. ^^

So what i wanted to say: it cant be caused by this mod (alone).
mctrevor 7 Jan, 2022 @ 1:05am
Same behaviour as Rusty on my LWotC install.
Rusty | SkyPaladin 19 Dec, 2021 @ 8:39pm
For some reason in LWOTC when I hold my cursor over a soldier it no longer highlights the corresponding bond mate's coloured icon if he is on the same screen?
Dragon32 14 Mar, 2021 @ 5:36pm
@ragnakore
There's about a dozen colours, each bond is identified by a combination of two colours. That's a lot.
You can remove some colours in that .ini
BurgerKing 14 Mar, 2021 @ 3:52pm
Questions:
Q1. If I have exhausted all the bond colors, will they repeat?
Q2. Some of the colors are almost similar to each other. Can I remove the bond color definition in the XcomUI.ini?
GargakOfTheEast 10 Feb, 2020 @ 9:33pm
Ohhhhhhhh thank you so much <3. Extremely useful. Even if another pair gets nearly the same color, it's way less confusing than without the colors. Thumbs up.
Scottishtroop 3 Feb, 2020 @ 4:32pm
Im having an issue with this even tho it worked the first time i used it/ There seems to be all the same colours in all bonds which i dont understand the point as i cant tell the difference
Hidrate-se 31 May, 2019 @ 11:57am
Just work if I start a new game?
yes_commander 20 Nov, 2018 @ 11:34am
Love this. I do end up occasionally getting like three bonded pairs all marked with similar shades of green or something, close enough that they're hard to differentiate, but generally by the point that that could bug me, I know the pairs without having to rely on the colored emblems. The only suggestion I'd make is maybe an option to manually select a bond pair's color in the event that you can't tell some of them apart, but it's a small thing and I really appreciate being able to use this!
Dragon32 18 Oct, 2018 @ 9:31am
@Ancalagon:
Noticed that a couple of times, exiting the Armory and going somewhere else before going back seemed to give the game enough time to work out who liked who.
Ancalagon 17 Oct, 2018 @ 11:05pm
@Jolan I had that bug also yesterday and today, BEFORE I ever installed this mod. The "mouse-over everyone has same squadmate" bug must be caused by the base game or another mod.
BurgerKing 15 Aug, 2018 @ 2:47pm
Can it be made to show the color on the name of the soldier?
Musekater 9 Feb, 2018 @ 9:56am
Sadly mod crashes my game when asked to take picture of bond.

Ah, I see! Thanks, sorry! I admit I only glanced over this and clearly I missed the obvious!

@✅ MysticalPotato ✅™
No, the vanilla game assigns a color to each tier. This mod assigns a color to every bond pair.
MysticalPotato 9 Oct, 2017 @ 12:14am
they're already colour coded
Jolan 14 Sep, 2017 @ 9:26am
Just installed this mod, now it's showing every soldier having the same bondmate in the mouse-over tooltip, even soldiers without a bondmate. I'd add a screenshot, but I don't know how to insert it here.
Medieval 9 Sep, 2017 @ 7:41pm
@Tvol color seems random, I have no issue with my bonds, but I also don't have any repeating colors or similar colors.
Gunboat Diplomat 9 Sep, 2017 @ 5:40pm
And as proof of the below, I just popped in-game and discovered it did not do anywhere close to what I expected. Whoops. I think it was the screenshot that's actually pretty bad and misled me. There are two cyan ones for level 1 bonds, which makes them very close to the default blue. The gold one is highlighted but the other isn't, so it suggests it's dynamically changing the colour. And the bottom one essentially *is* the default blue, so it doesn't make it clear that every bond gets recoloured.

Someone said below that this is a "must have if you don't have photographic memory". I don't have photographic memory, so aids are nice. I do have very good memory for who is bonded to whom though (each bond tells a story for me) so worst case scenario I just resort the list.

I can see how others appreciate it, but a better screenshot and description would be most helpful.
Gunboat Diplomat 9 Sep, 2017 @ 5:22pm
Looks good, and I *think* I know what it's doing, but a more detailed description of exactly what it does would be nice. Something like "applies a custom colour to the two bonded soldiers when hovering over one".
Booksuny 9 Sep, 2017 @ 3:03pm
best mod
treevenewson 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:47pm
Yes, an excellent mod and idea. :steamhappy:
Tommy 9 Sep, 2017 @ 3:01am
You need this to play the game, unless you got a photographic memory.
Ra'senché 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:51am
Best "Why the fuck didnt they just done this with the new feature" Mod so far.
Well done!
eGregious 8 Sep, 2017 @ 6:32am
Love this mod, thanks Robo!
Gerarderloper 5 Sep, 2017 @ 9:19pm
Nice, could you perhaps do color ability icons for when in battle so its easier to identify which abilities cost what etc (green being free). There is a mod that does this and sort of works but the developer has not got WotC and doesn't seem to show interest in updating it.
awkwardmoment 4 Sep, 2017 @ 1:28pm
One of my favorite new mods, it looks so sharp!
neuromancer 3 Sep, 2017 @ 5:46pm
This is something that really they should have done in the first place. Thanks to robohumper for doing this!
William Knifeman 2 Sep, 2017 @ 1:23am
This mod is a godsend:sectoid:
Jpcraque ® 1 Sep, 2017 @ 4:57am
i have 3 difrent bonds now and all of them are using the the same color...that's not very useful or helping me out in any way....:steamsad::steamfacepalm:
CovertOwl 31 Aug, 2017 @ 8:26pm
Thanks again robojumper!
robojumper  [author] 30 Aug, 2017 @ 7:44pm
@boisegangpc
That shouldn't happen, no.
Boisegangpc 30 Aug, 2017 @ 7:43pm
I've found that the bond icon's spot is taken up by a transparent placeholder when the soldier is not bonded. Is this normal behavior?
Silent 30 Aug, 2017 @ 7:35pm
Oh, I had just assumed this is how it would work by default. Thanks for the mod!
Player 30 Aug, 2017 @ 6:45pm
Thank you this is great, I was renaming soldiers last names trying to keep track of everything
Zyxpsilon 30 Aug, 2017 @ 5:49pm
Gimme some MCM driven custom set of RGB calls (via sliders?) and i'm sold! :)
xNaquada 30 Aug, 2017 @ 4:53pm
