Solution:
0) Close Alternative Mod Launcher and launch Steam
1) Subscribe to "Stop Wasting My Time - Legacy" version via Steam (on this page)
2) Open Alternative Mod Launcher
3) Delete the "Stop Wasting My Time - WotC" version
4) Close and open again the Alternative Mod Launcher
5) Enable the Legacy version, and reopen Alternative Mod Launcher again.
Now it should work.
if youre having issues with this mod showing up. I had the same issue. what i did was unsub to this mod. sub to the WOTC version, make sure it shows up in the mod list, THEN sub to this one, THEN unsub from the WOTC version and refresh. should show up"
tyvm this worked.
I had a hard time getting this mod to work at first, what I did and hope will help those having issues, is to subscribe from here and download the mod from Nexus then copy paste the Nexus folder content into steam workshop mod folder(emptying it all together is what I did).
I've just reinstall XCom2 after a long pause, and tried to install this mod, and followed preemptively Perry's instructions. Now the game can't launch at all, except for the launcher.
How deleting *.ini files could have helped in any way ?
Cause right now, these are the files missing and crashing the game..
Thx for any help
I will try the WotC version when I get the expansion for sure
Follow Perry's advice, if you have any trouble.
Try both xcom 2 mod and AML, and both have no affect
This is what I just did to get this mod to work in Legacy, and trust me, you need this mod... OMG, you have no idea how bad the developers missed the mark on those delays and this mod makes the game pace much better.
1. Make sure you have shut XCOM2 down entirely.
2. Go to \Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config and delete ALL the files within.
3. Unsubscribe from SWMT and Resubscribe (not sure if necessary but didn't test w/o doing it), I unsubed and resubbed all my mods just in case.
4. You should now see all the mod correctly displayed in the XCOM2 login screen, make sure you turn on SWMT.
5. Enjoy
5a: I started a new game, but you should find it works fine in old saves.. but I can confirm it worked for me in new games.
Note: SWMT = Stop Wasting My Time mod... ie.. this one... (just in case)
Please don't forget that you have to change some things in the basic game settings. For example all the unseless animations. You can simply turn them off.
I checked that it was selected via the mod manager in the launcher, but even with that,
the game is the same, still have that warnings about civilians being killed, etc...
So anything broken ?
(Sorry my english is very bad)
In Mac OS,"Bibliothèque" -> "Application Support" -> "Feral Interactive" -> "XCOM 2" or "XCOM WOTC" -> "VFS" -> "Local" -> "My games" -> "XCOM 2" or "XCOM 2 WOTC" ->"XCOMgame" -> "Config" It's the data files..
Not to be confused with the folder "config" in the Steamapps, the base files on the games.
For verify the games files,"Steam" "XCOM 2" right click -> "Propriety" "local files" "verify the local files".(My name translations are approximate)
Verify the games files solves the most common bug.
Delete your data files + Verify your game files, its should be working. (I have make this)
Does this MOD install automatically after I press "Subscribe"?
