Hello, is there a way to modify this to be 175 for small grid and 325 for large? Or 150 small grid and 300 large? I really like this mod, but 250 on small grid seems to much. Thank you.

more like... laggggg lol... the bigger the detection sphere the more server ticks it takes....

Is working for me, But for large grind it goes up to 250m, not 325 as you claim it does >.<

Right so maybe they altered the path format for setting these values? Idk. Did you do the playtest Skall? Something has changed for me but idk about anyone else who did the playtest.

I use this as standard in all my worlds and streams, working fine for me. No one else has reported. All this does is rewrite the range of the normal vanilla detector.No models, no textures and keens own code other than the range number being larger.

Sadly this mod no longer works for me... I participated in Keens last playtest... upon trying to resume my last game SE crashed (Exception occured: System.NotSupportedException: The given path's format is not supported.) repeatedly. This occurs when pressing G to access the blocks screen. At this point I figured it was a block. Created a new world with just the laser mods and EEM and some NPC mods and this Ore Detector. Crash. Once this is removed.. no problem accessing blocks. Lasers work fine tho. Admittedly there could be others as I use about 110 mods in a single world but this is def broken after going thru the playtest deal. Don't know what they did to my game but something has changed. Anyone else?

I now the formulas but I cant change the core code in the game, I am not a DEV.

Keen's lazy. If they can do spheres, they can do cones. Simple geometric equation V=[Pi(r*r)h]/3 The equation looks wierd because I can't use the proper format here, but this should work

@Morpheus I think he's just using the system already set in place by Keen; and since the systems they use are limited to spheres and cuboids, there's not much to be done about it unless Keen changes that themselves.

Here's a dumb question. Instead of having the ore detector scan a sphere around the block, why not have the ore detector scan a cone shaped area infront of it emmittive face? That would immensly decrease the area that the detector would have to scan and you could increase it's range without increasing processing resources.

that will happen with lower power systems, increased radius of sphere of dedection, explonentially more points to check...

When set at 250m on a large ship, I lose a lot of simspeed.

We were able to use mod. I did not do a pre-mod list, but I put it down. I'm very bad English. Maybe I got a load line. You think it should be over or close to the first place. I made it down and it worked. Excellent mod, thanks for you!

It does not work for me. There is a fill line at the top. Offline server works, Online dedicated server does not work :(

Not functioning currently. Ore detection range remains 50/150.
