just finding a way to make them connect the new airport dlc plane stands would be enough for me, no need to convert them as a network kind of thing like the new terminals.
i will try to find if anyone has made any invisible assets, dont think there are any at the moment yet, but it is a good idea you gave, to place your buildings on top of invisible stuff. :)

@Tuga_Venatus If I ever get the time, then I might. These assets will still probably work better cosmetically without the DLC though. So you would place this asset on top of an invisible asset that uses the new airports DLC.

@vasimr22 any plans to convert some of your works into the new airport dlc?
i spent quite a load of time just trying to make huge airports with your assets before dlc (sometimes more than building the actual city :P ), would be amazing to have some of the assets as airport dlc assets.

@apollothaprophet The screenshots show how the kit should fit together. You don't have to use all of the kit parts either. The concourse is _PE + _PC + _PE to form a closed building. Then the main terminal is connected to the concourse with the _C1 part. The handling building is clipped into the side of the terminal and the back of the _C1 building. The _Walkway and _WalkwayNode are used to create the connection between terminal and a parking structure behind it.

Is there any sort of guide on how this is supposed to fit together? I'm trying to come up with some creative ways, but I'm having some difficulties seeing the best ways to make things fit

At night the terminal buildings look great closeup. But in my current game at a distance the building lights become heavily pixelated and look awful, messing up my cinematic distance shots. This might have something to do with my current set of mods, but no other assets do this.

Sure, I respect that. Yeah, maybe you should consider make some airport from China... There some new airport that I think they look really awesome. Most of the airport terminal I have seen in the workshop are from either U.S, they are good but they are kind of old.... The airport that I am talking have really really stylish design in terms of architecture... Beijing Daxing International Airport,Hongkong International Airport and Beijing International Airport Terminal 2... try those if you have interest and time.... We would be excited to see those assets coming out...

@黑曼巴 Thanks, I'm glad that you like my work!
Unfortunately, I don't do commissions, especially considering how long 3D assets take to produce (this asset required about 6 months of spare time work). Additionally, this asset had many engineering / architectural drawings and decent references (both on google earth and on the airport's website), which helped with modeling - I have a feeling that such references would not be so easy to obtain for the airports you mentioned.
There are also issues with scale, none of those terminal buildings are modular, and would therefore would have issues with the maximum lot size in the game (any model that extends beyond the lot size will be clipped when the lot box isn't within the camera viewing area).
I may do more terminal assets in the future, but I don't currently have any planned. You may be able to convince another asset creator to undertake such a project, however. Best of luck.

I really love the artwork you did... I am also a big of all the realistic assets and stuffs. I am just wondering if there is chance that I can ask do make a airport or two for me, I am a huge fan of building realistic airport. I don't what I can offer to make you interested in do so, but if you are down make one, I will donate $50 just to admire your artwork.

@benflower60 you don’t. This asset is visual and not functional. You will need a plane stand to connect to airport roads for planes to land.

@Overlord I'm glad you were about to find that fix. Now that I think about it, that might have been what I did to fix the issue, and didn't notice it. It's very strange that a rotation is needed though.

As for the LOD, the problem is with the LOD texture. I could have sworn that I added a lod variant, but it's possible that I didn't. I won't have time to try to re-upload the asset for another few weeks, but I will try to do so then.

Hi Vasim! I would like to ask you for a little help. Although I'm subscribed to everything what is needed according to the description all buildings except the PC concorse have bad/weird LOD in my game. Is it possible to fix it on my side or on your side? Also one of the markings do weird stuff (changed color to grey when I'm zoomed out enough that game decides to load LOD). Here is the link.

Btw I think that I figured out how to do not get terrain glitch when plopping GRU_T3_C1- I got infinite amount of buildings which were glitched by plopping or copiing, BUT when I tried to copy it by move it and rotate it by RMB before plopping it - it helped and no terrain glitch using this method. So it seems that rotating before plopping is a "fix".

@stalin No, this asset is only aesthetic. You can use planestand assets connected to a road (see the early youtube videos of the FBS airport).

@rmbyeah I have noticed that, and thought that I added it to the list of bugs (I wil update them). I have no idea what is causing the issue, however, deleting and replacing the asset usually seems to work (you may have to try it a few times).

@Ayki There are no paths in these buildings, since I didn't think that I could connect them mid-air. You will have to place them yourself, however, you should be able to hide a pedestrian path in them quite easily, while still making it appear as if the pedestrians are walking through the building.

Hello, i am currently using this. My question is, i am now creating my own pathfinding options for these buildings. These have build in pathfinding or they are just decoratives and we need to place our own pathfinding options for passengers like with the gate placements. Thank you.

@matthiaspowerbomb The walkway uses the full texture set that the rest of the assets use, so you would essentially have the same memory footprint for fewer assets, which doesn't make sense. I have seen people use these buildings in builds other than airports as well.

@Matt 12 Thanks! I don't plan on doing any other packs. I only did this one because it was requested by three youtubers who were doing a collaboration. As it is, this pack took about 8 months of work to make, so another one is very unlikely.

@i509 Thanks! It's a combination of well placed polygon edges, as well as prioritizing texture space. Also, there are a total of 4 texture groups used here, so that's 4 sets of 1024x1024 images, allowing for a bit more resolution. Don't give up on trying to model things, it's something you get better at the more you do it.

I am not sure how procedural objects would help. Also, I am against using them, since they are most likely going to be less resource efficient.
