This mod is turning out to be a bad idea when combined with Advent to Tau and Dynamic Pod Activation. Talk about getting overwhelmed, yeesh. This isn't a complaint about this mod, it does exactly what it sets out to, and is great. I think I need to boost my squad size a bit more, though.

Makes the first few missions with Tutorial enabled nigh on impossible (specifically the mission after you recover the power converter.) if you don't also increase your own squad size from the get go. Get boiled by RNG once in a mission and you may as well evac.

HAHHAHA YES FINALLY A WORTHY COMBATANT AGAINST MY 18 OCs. Going in with legendary ironman mode with this, double the pod count, and double the enemy spawn. My PC will love this.

I think I'm pretty decent at the game. Not amazing, but good enough to beat Legendary (no Ironman, some savescumming). This on Commander with a squad size of 6 is hard at first, but it still is easy in late game. This on Legendary with a squad size of 6 plus Jane Kelly as a starting Ranger, plus start with a faction soldier, has so far not resulted in too many squad wipes.

Its a good mod but be aware the increase is more like 40%-100%

First of all, thanks for the mod. It definitely gives me a reason to play this game a sixth time over again.

That being said, I noticed that the mod increases the two-enemy reinforcement pods on rescue missions in underground sewer levels to four or five enemies each. So definitely more than the 25-50%. Is that intentional and if not, fixable? Because one gets one or two of these enemy drops per round at the end of that mission type. Which makes the fight at the end much tougher than your mod's changes to other missions.

Fine MOD! - ...but...

in later Missions the Number of heavy Enemies is overwhelming high !
Impossible to get my Team out of that alive !!

Ruins the Gameplay in the last Quarter of a Campaign...

Is it possible to change that ?

Otherwise GREAT MOD - I love it

Do people use mods to increase covert action squad sizes? This mod affects the reinforcement drops and the pods in ambushes, making it completely impossible to beat with 3 soldiers.

do you think this is a good idea if i only have a 6 man squad (i have a mod which makes me start with both sqaud upgrades so i start with a 6 man squad but the actuall maximum squad size doesn't change)

works fine. I usually get 5 unit pods, sometimes 4, rarely 3s, but they do happen.

This mod does work after the first mission; playing on legend I too noticed pods of 3 on the second mission and only occurs rarely afterwards. The majority of the time I see pods of 5 as expected and it's great! Seems to be more lost too and that seems to account for smaller pods on those missions.

It seems like this only works for gatecrasher. During missions after that, pods are still only 3 people.

@jweller12, I'm not sure. I couldn't figure out a way to increase my XCOM squad size so I went ahead removed this mod. I did however increase raider faction pod size anyway for added challenge and increased early podsize only slightly while making late podsizes much larger to account for easy lategame.

Can anyone help me with uninstalling this mod please? I have unsubbed and deleted the Xcomencounters.ini from Documents but its still active. Thought I might be up for the task but its just too difficult.

Well, it seems that this doesnt work with Mocx, and possibly the raider factions. There squad sizes didnt increase.

Could have done this before ... tested it myself :-) Result: If you have this mod installed but deactivated, it is still working. You can only turn it off by remove it completely.

I started a ne game, with your mod deactivated (will activate it later on, when i buy more squad size upgrades), but the gatecrasher on rookie still has 8 enemies, on veteran it still has 9 enemies. Do I have to deinstall it, to get it deactivated?

Do you know what .ini controls what units spawn? Want to get rid of some units to make it more infantry vs infintry like a hord advent troopers.

Thanks to this mod (and a small number of others) I ended up win a mission two set up of my team of four (max dps of 18) vs 4 troopers, a sectoid, a commander, some med-drone and 3 biotroopers (hp of about 50). I don't like losing soldiers this early, and have spent three hours trying to save-scum my way out of this impossible situation.

tl;dr: difficulty hike is not an exaggeration.

Great mod but it makes missions where the enemy get reinforcements a little unbalanced.

I had advent getting 8 new units per turn for 3 turns. As I only had balistics at the time it was a difficult mission to say the least.
