@harry88ta Yes, the character pool is purely cosmetic. The characters all appear with the same stats as the soldiers that the game would have randomly generated.

do these characters start with default vanilla aim, mobility, etc?

is it possible to make a version taht dosnt requierk WotC dlc? for those of us that are poor xD

Why does it need the DLC?

Any chance you could sort this mod into sub-categories? Like as in adding separate pools for each group? It can be awkward when looking for a specific character in this massive list.

You don't need to download any of the older versions (I added an asterisk next to the line in the description that explains this). I left the older versions up for people who don't have all the dlc that the new version makes use of.

@Future Null Infinity But I do regret that the workshop is full of Mass Effect weapons and not much else... Like I care that much about this game series, what about the Lancer from Gears of War? The Covenant plasma weapons from Halo? The Blasters from Star Wars? Hell, a few bladed weapons from Final Fantasy games would have been great to see...

Anyways, while I couldn't find a voice pack for Chell, I did found a GLadOS voice pack (which don't work with SPARK units...).

@Future Null Infinity It's ok, I can find voice packs easilly (well, except for Juliet Starling), I even found a SHODAN voice pack for my SPARK units.

@wargamesmaster I'll add those names to my list, thanks for the input! I've thought of including character voices and other customizations, but I wanted to keep the pool mod-free and just let people change the characters however they like. That said, I may release a modded version in the future.

And just by curiosity, do you think Sterling Archer from the cartoon "Archer" could be added to this mod in the future? :)

After testing this mod, I can honestly say that besides a few mistakes (hair color and names not quite right), this mod is great.

However, it would be awesome if this mod used the voices of the characters available in it. But I suppose it would be too difficult...

Any chances of seeing Michael "Mikey" Thorton from Alpha Protocol or Gabriel "Gabe" Logan from Syphon Filter in this mod one day?

This Mod works great. Even better if you get the various voicepacks as well. I recommend getting the Freeman's Mind Voicepack for Gordon Freeman.

As he said you can even use this with no DLc and no mods, just some characters will be missing some cosmetics from those dlcs, you can edit in what fits from what mods and dlcs you have or don't have. And you can pick and chose the characters you import into your pool to begin with You absolutly do not have to take them all.

Hm, one character that I've wanted, and actually would really fit, is Bardoc from Dragon Ball, whose planet was also destroyed by aliens. Even they themselves were very human despite being aliens in their own way (to dumb it down). I think I'd really prefer a voice pack(You don't just have to use his specal, he's got that weird animation vs Chilled, and of course the games he's in like Xenoverse), but if you end up making him like this, there actually is a red headband on the steam market place, which is really iconic for him.

@Legendary Phylactery It's just a character pool file (you have to import the characters if you want them in your game, just like any other saved pool - instructions in the description). It requires alien hunters because the characters use props from that dlc. You can still use the pool without it, but alot of the characters would be wearing default props.

I'd like to see the main Black Lagoon charaacters included, along with Hellsing. Specifically, I'd want to have Alexander Anderson, Revy, Dutch, Balalaika, Integra, and Alucard. I'm sad that there are no voice packs for them though. Fortunatley, UK English 4 sounds quite a bit like Anderson. It's time for a Crusade!

@TheGodEmperror There are instructions in the description of the mod under How to Import a Character Pool . The characters will start appearing in your game as soon as you import them into your active pool (if you're not starting a new game, it might take a month for the game to generate new recruits to buy). Make sure Character Pool Usage is set to Character Pool Only if you want pool characters instead of randomly generated ones.

Never mind, my apologies. Despite having an older version disabled, it seems to have loaded that instead of V4. All sorted now. Had to manually delete older version and unsub from it. I had deleted it previously but not unsubbed and for whatever reason it chose to place that in my importable folder, instead of the most recent version (despite being unticked). Cheers
