Every tank car has a little crease in middle or in edge, doesn't matter but the utility is described by @Starcraft1701. Another wagons more aesthetic has hydraulic bogies to up and down the tank. The utility is the same

If you want to empty the car, the crease in the middle ensures that the loss of charge remains minimal because everything flows to the middle!

I have a model train tank car that looks similar to this one:
freight wagon tank wagon Zafns ECC [www.modellbahnunion.com]
but it is shorter and bulkier.
I don't know the reason why it is bent but looks interesting :)

Is there a particular reason that this looks like it's bent, or collapsing in the middle?
