Are you on OSX/Linux? As far as I can tell, that does not have the Fall 2017 patch yet.

I just finished a campaign (fall'17 updated) where (chosen) brutal still permanently decreased will. as a result I had to work lots of covert actions to restore some of lost will or would be left with a bunch of high ranked pansies.

So I play on OSX and (even though I have the fall '17 patch) Lost World still stays active after the dark event ends. Hoping this may still work as a fix for me.

If you have dark horizon going (permanent dark events) and this mod, does it override dark horizon? If so, still a potentially useful mod!

Is it just me or, since installing this mod, I haven't had any missions with Lost present other than in the early game?

@PatientLandBeaver the exact bug is that the dark event leaves in a lingering tag for the SITREP the dark event inserts. It stays until you get another mission that has The Lost SITREP in it.

@Pownage thanks for the reply! It did clear on it's own without having to use this mod. I believe it lasted 6 weeks and made every mission quite exciting since I love using grenades :)

It just stays forever yeah, although to be fair if firaxis ever fix it I might mod it so it stays permanently, I like the lost being in my missions ^.^

Does this mean if you get this dark event in with the WOTC dlc it won't clear itself after it expires? I'm currently affected by this event but it's only week 2 with 4 more weeks until it says it will expire.

Hey, no idea how else to get in contact with you, but I was wondering if you were aware of a bug, basically if you press "Make Utility Items Available" it removes items from people on Covert Operations too, which leads to Ambushes where your team isn't equipped with what you intended for them to be equipped with

Bit curious, would it be possible to make a mod that lets you remove permanent Dark Events via Facility assaults/Covert ops? Personally I'd really like to play with Dark Horizon on, but some of them would definitely get very old very fast (like Lost World, Made Whole etc).

im curious if rm here can fix this issue ive been having, the issue goes every now and then (more often than id like to admit) i cannot evac from missions as the loading screen to the firebrand inside stat screen thing breaks on me, im also curious if any1 else has experianced this. RM please help!

This really makes me wonder if they messed up by having a computer run most of the testing. It doesn't notice that it has been fighting Lost the entire campaign. I can't imagine having 20 human testers and none of them ever had Lost World active as a Dark Event.

How can you not notice.

Yes. Dark Event States are made ahead of time, and they store their templates at time of creation: it won't update with the changed function.

Two months?
I've been piddling around lategame with my current save just to get myself a stupidly-statted supersoldier from covert ops.

I've had LostWorld around for approximately six months. It gets god damn incessant, I'm glad there's finally a fix! Thank you so much, mister Machina, my dude!

@meyerik I think what this does is remove the Dark Event once it's over. I am currently having an issue where Lost World (the Dark Event that causes Lost to be present on any mission) is lasting two months already. It's pretty annoying, it's supposed to be one month.

@meyerik From what I've experienced, the Lost that appear from the Lost World Dark Event (an event that causes Lost hordes to spawn on all missions, if you haven't found it yet) will not stop appearing until much later in the campaign, despite the Dark Event triggering and then expiring. I think in my campaign, they didn't stop until about... three, four months after the event?

Sorry, what do you mean exactly? Missions with Lost have limit with this mod, so they do stop coming?

Or is this a Dark Event thing?

I hope all your fix mods become obsolete, when Firaxis updates, still much appreciated.
If they don't, your fixes, are becoming an Unofficial patch, on their own. Nice work.
