I agree. I will look to see if I have a backup and update the asset cost. Just a note, this asset works as a Senior Citizen and the one you showed me, does not...

That senior apartment costs $8500.
This apartment is obviously bigger and able to house more than 4 times more seniors than that apartment, so even my suggested cost, $12000, seems to be very cheap.

I will say, I love the way you think. Actually can't help, but agree with you. As I have had 3 computer crashes and in effect lost this asset.... we can assume the building is already there, but the mayor gets to plop it where it already is and as this is a ploppable building you decide where it goes.
The Engineer Pop 5 Nov, 2022 @ 7:57pm
But *in this game* this kind of buildings are constructed by players who do role of mayors. Isn't it? If this kind of buildings are privately owned it should be ploppable building.
So I suggest to raise the cost of this buildings' cost to at least $12000. It is for balancing with the other buildings of this kind too.
Populous  [author] 4 Nov, 2022 @ 9:22pm
In the U.S.A these buildings are privately owned. 1,000 would be the cost of administrative fees. I think, it has been awhile, but 10,000 is likely the actual cost of the building.
The Engineer Pop 29 Oct, 2022 @ 11:24pm
How can it only costs $1000? I think this low cost is a kind of cheating. How can I modify its cost at least in my client?
Populous  [author] 20 May, 2019 @ 10:44am
GamerFrog and Fai, I can cut this by six nodes but at a cost to the number of props placed and so loosing the on the appearance side. Do you plan on placing 200 of these in your city? No, not likely. Still the building uses less nodes than than placing the 20 smaller buildings to house the same 200 Cims (60 nodes instead of 6). Make sense or is appearance not as important?
Fai 20 May, 2019 @ 10:24am
I think what GamerFrog is saying that this asset uses a lot of nodes? Maybe?
GamerFrog 13 Nov, 2018 @ 10:30am
you build on each side in this asset 3 separeted parts of a walkway with lamps. this needs 6 nodes per side. if you need lamps, you can set this without this 6 parts of walkway or if you need this walkway on this sides, build one walkway per side with two nodes and length 6. if anyone build this asset 200x in his town, he use 2400 nodes !!!!!! for what?
Populous  [author] 13 Nov, 2018 @ 9:17am
No clue what you're saying
GamerFrog 13 Nov, 2018 @ 8:54am
for what you have so many nodes at this two sides in this Asset? 12 Nodes (!!!)

No, I am not using RICO. And now the error has returned on Vanilla maps. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if it didn't repeat ever 1 - 2 seconds and make it impossible to play the game after the tile is placed.
Populous  [author] 10 Apr, 2018 @ 6:38pm
Thank you for double testing and for letting me know it is with all assets... have you messaged the mod author, he just released an update April 3 and the issue is most likely with either his mod or another mod. NOT to brush you off, I just don't use many mods for this reason. Say, are you using RICO by chance?
Braigwen 10 Apr, 2018 @ 2:59pm
Just to clarify, the error comes up with every single retirement home, not just this one.
Braigwen 10 Apr, 2018 @ 2:58pm
I tried it again, on a non custom map this time. It still came up with the error, however, it didn't repeat the error every 1 to 2 seconds like it did on the custom map.

This is new... So you have subscribed to Gras tile and Mod:Nursing Homes for Senior Citizens and for absolutly sure the mode is enabled in the mod screen.... Last thing to dow would be to exit the game and restart which sometimes would be required for mods to work. Could you double check. If it was this problem, with this asset, it would list this asset so I just need you to confirm and I will test to see if the asset has been ruined by an update.
Braigwen 9 Apr, 2018 @ 6:23pm
I've gotten all of the required stuff for each of the retirement homes, however, it keeps coming up with the same error every time I place them.

Ah, the building is privatly owned as most of them are in the US. The maintenance fee is more like inspection fees the city would charge. Taking care of people is big money and one of the reasons the mod author setup the Nursing home mod to possibly make money for your city as there would be revenue in one form or another. Thanks!
hashimoto4life 15 Dec, 2017 @ 12:26am
Maintenance is unreaistically low.

Thanks BoostHungry!

Looks awesome! Thanks!

Note that your last picture above is not of this asset, you may want to update that.
Populous  [author] 6 Sep, 2017 @ 6:28am
I will check it out again soon.

As far as I know, it's not possible to switch of shining lights after a certain moment of the day-night-cycle or so. The only option would be to tweek the light map in a way so that only a few lights go off from the start (which, if I remember correctly, can be set to be randomly selected every night). But I don't really have a clue when it comes to assets. I once stumbled over a guide about how to edit light maps, here in the steam community. I lack the time to search for it now, but maybe you'll find it. Should be called "Illumination something something" or so.
Populous  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 2:49pm
Methos, I do agree with you absolutely and no matter what I do, the game gives us 12 hours of bright light. I actually almost did not upload it do this very point, however there is none better. Any suggestions? I use your Roundabout Exit by the way, it looks great and lends to an artistic city touch
Mæthos 5 Sep, 2017 @ 12:54pm
I really like the building itself, but the light map is a bit over the top for me. I mean: Where I come from seniors tend to go to bed around 5 to 6 pm or so. So imho it doesn't make so much sense to have all the lights shining at night.
Populous  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 12:28pm
albertofuji, you absolutely made my day! Thank you!
albertofuji 5 Sep, 2017 @ 11:03am
Nice one!! Thank you

I hear you there and you are welcome

This is a cool building model, Thanks for another asset.

Current asset total 4417, need to have a sort out and get rid of the not-so-good stuff. LOL
