Wow, thanks! I do want to build on your map, it looks like it might be fun! And I also didn't know about the Prop&tree configuration! So much to learn with all the different mods, and all at once seems like.The mods/assets/props all make the building more interesting, as well as more personal. It's nice to have choices! will load the map again- Appreciate the information! Again, thank you!

@Alleykat It's okay, we all started there :)

When you set Prop&Tree Anarchy to On, it turns off the collision for trees and props. The game normally doesn't delete trees (and rocks) when you build over them, it just hides them. They still count as existing trees, and still use system resources. The mod simply un-hides them.

This also means that when you build roads, houses, etc, the trees will stay in place and appear through the building.

Make sure the 'Unhide all trees on level loading' is unchecked in Prop & Tree Anarchy mod's options. If that's enabled, it shows all previously hidden trees.

The best option is to delete the trees manually before you build, but that of course doesn't solve the ones on the map growing through the roads.You can delete the trees by using right-click with the tree brush, or with Move It's Marquee Tool set to Trees. If they're outside the city limits you can use 81 tiles or Cross The Line. :)

Yes, I am rather new at this, and yes, I do have Prop & Tree Anarchy, and no, I am not familiar with all of the features yet, lol.. AND, for replying so promptly! It is very much appreciated! I will eventually figure out what I am doing wrong, ( I hope!) and will retry the map - which I think is very nice!
AquilaSol  [author] 3 Nov, 2019 @ 5:23am
@Alleykat Only if you subscribe to Prop&Tree Anarchy without knowing what it does. That has nothing to do with this map.
Alleykat 2 Nov, 2019 @ 9:03pm
Is it just me, or are there trees all over the highway? lol...looked rather odd. Nice map otherwise though! thank you!

I'm Subscribing, but the map doesn't show

@AquilaSol
Thank you so much! Everything is working fine now. Love the map... I'm gonna name a district afer you! lol
AquilaSol  [author] 6 Jul, 2018 @ 4:12pm
@Paper Wings The problem is TMPE not playing nice with the recent patch. Unsubscribe from it and it should work as normal again. (Disabling is not enough)

A second load is when you load something after already having loaded something else in that session. If you're using mods you should always exit the game completely between loading screens. Don't load something from inside a city/map/editor, and don't quit to the menu
Paper Wings 6 Jul, 2018 @ 4:04pm
@AquilaSol
I didn't even know I can play the game in "no workshop mode". But I figured it out and public transport is working fine now. THANKS!
...I also don't know what a second-load is. All I know is that every time I loaded up the savegame public transport was working for about 3min and then the cims just walked away.
AquilaSol  [author] 6 Jul, 2018 @ 3:55pm
@Paper Wings
That is not a map problem. Internal Public Transport has nothing to do with a map. This is a broken mod problem.
Traffic Manager President Edition is currently not compatible with the latest game version. That's what's causing the public transport problem. Disabling it is not enough, you need to unsubscribe it.

I really wish people would stop blaming maps for everything. Check your mods first.
Paper Wings 6 Jul, 2018 @ 3:08pm
This would have been the perfect map, i love building lots of little towns and villages, but unfortunately public transport is not working at all. I've started the map several times with and without mods. For some reason the cims refuse to use the bus, train etc. I have no idea why...
AquilaSol  [author] 10 Nov, 2017 @ 9:15am
@Marconi Ah, that. It's a bug with the airport. Usually happens with the vanilla airport, but sometimes also happens with custom ones. It can happen to both arriving and departing planes,at any point on any map. Generally the fix is to demolish and rebuild the airport, or to remove stuck vehicles or all traffic(tmpe).

I'm uploading the video here to take a look, I do not use any plugin connections, I used the publisher of vehicles but I already disabled.

@Marconi The airplane path is just a regular left to right connection, there is nothing in the map itself to cause that. It's either a game bug, an asset bug, or a mod problem. I've no idea which one, though. Are you using any kind of connection mod, airplane path enabler mod or the sort?

Th game does have some weird bugs at map edges, though. The whole trains piling up thing is also pretty much hit 'n miss, so it may very well be related to that bug.
SanguiRuim 9 Nov, 2017 @ 6:43pm
Airplanes can not get off the map, they spin around the edge: /

I do not know which mod may be causing this on this map alone.
Rootiga 13 Oct, 2017 @ 11:19am
Ok, thank you!
AquilaSol  [author] 13 Oct, 2017 @ 11:10am
@Rootiga You will need to use the Environment Changer (+ Improved Theme Selection) mod to be able to select the concrete version of the theme. But visually it will then work the same, the only difference between the two is the pavement texture. :)
Rootiga 13 Oct, 2017 @ 11:02am
i have new caledonia but its the concrete not pavement version, will the map still work?
Pslytely Psycho 17 Sep, 2017 @ 5:44pm
@AquilaSol, Beautiful map. Nice details. It also gave me an inspiration to play the game in a differnt manner for me. I edited it a bit before using it to make the vanilla one-way into a two-lane highway in order to do something new. Starting a city NOT directly connected to a freeway! I extended those a bit up the flatter side of the map and made a series of small towns before building a larger city at the double roundabout. Made for an interesting way to play rather than starting with a great freeway connection. Thanks!!

@Unspoken Maps can't break the loading process. (unless they rely on specific mods; which this one doesn't.) Check your installed mods. Loading issues are nearly always caused by incompatible or dead mods. (usually Traffic++, or two versions of Network Extensions.)

Not loading

@MustaKotka There is no oil on the map. For some reason the game always does that if you used the oil brush in the editor, even if you erase it completely a few seconds later. :/ Not sure why it does that.
MustaKotka 6 Sep, 2017 @ 3:35am
The meter shows oil in some tiles but I can't seem to locate it. Where is the oil if there is any? Great map, I'm just starting out on it and too many good spots to start in!
Czardus 5 Sep, 2017 @ 11:18am
Intriguing map. I've added it to my Maps collection.

Magnificent! This will make some amazing cities :steamhappy:
PilotGav 4 Sep, 2017 @ 9:28pm
Can't wait to get started. I've updated the coastal road. I'm not going to lay down anything else until I've taken time to get to know the map. I want this to be the first map I actually finish. Still a noob so I hope I do it justice!
