this is indeed how you starve. the food lasts a bit because it's rationed because of how it's more or less scarce, or that's my rational at least. it's also harder to maintain(?) with bigger numbers and no base, but hey, if you want the extra challenge, that's why they made this mod. i will say that the lack of muscular dystrophy from eating a singular piece of cooked meat over however many days and remaining at full strength through it is a little off. anyways, this is my completely unwarranted and unnecessary two cents.

Im sure some people appreciate this but as someone who regularly goes for long times without eating while doing actual physical work for most of a days time I think you are highly overestimating how much actual eating you need to do in order to be still be able to perform on peak physical level :D
3 bread,I honestly never in my life have eaten 3 loafs of bread in a week let alone a day :D, that one ration pack in kenshi if its anything like in real life will keep you on your peak performance for at least a day but I can safely say even two
Seriously the worst part of not eating for a whole day is just that eating is such a hard coded "habit" that you can not stop not thinking about it
Anyway if I tried this mod now my wolf squad would eat all my food in a day they are going through hordes of river raptors already and they aren't even topped off just hanging above hungry :D

If you had the mod going for a while and have come across this problem now, well, I won't be able to look into it until two weeks from now.

If you tried the mod and don't like it. Well, for the mod, the idea is that you need to eat bread 3 times in a single day. The rest of the nutritional values follow that logic (I only changed two values that affect all the food values, so that if the developer changes or adds one type of food, it will still be covered).

Though, you know you are free to download it from the link and make changes you prefer. Its really up to you.

im already eating something up to 9 times a day, you mod seems backwards i need a waaayyyy slower hunger rate

It will speed up the hunger for your guys from 3 days to death to less than that, for whatever multiplier you use, so yah, its doable. Don't have too much fun now ;)

Another question: If I adjust the sliders during my next import. Can i actually scale my hunger to make the game harder? #MightBeSlightlyMasocistic.

Ah thanks for the info <3 Litterally just picked it up last week.

This game just oozes potential, and there is something to be said for those ultra desperate situations when your almost out of food and would do just about anything to survive. I hope they do add thirst one day. Until then ill be using the heck out of this mod <3 ~Cheers!

Initially there was an idea to implement it, the developer called it a luxury or something like it. However, later on, I guess around the turn of 2017, they decided against the idea or shelved it for now? (Sorry, memory's hazy about the details). Haven't kept up with the news about it. Probably if you ask on the forums, Shidan or Hatsune would have a clue about its current predicament.

But honestly, I would love to have it too. However, due to the way modding works in Kenshi, you can only modify anything that already exists in the game or can be created in the game. Hunger is hard-coded into the game, however, you can modify its parameters. Thirst would work the same way. So for us to be able to modify it, they would either have to give us freedom to create such statuses or create the existance of thirst in-game, which we could then play around with.

I appreciate the effort here, coming from survival games like "The Long Dark" food felt so easy in Kenshi. Since I am not caught up on the developement of this game, do you know if thirst is a planned feature for Kenshi? Or is that something they are leaving to the modding community. ~Cheers.

Best Mod ever!!!! (and after some 30 days or so in game I finally managed to break even and produce enough food myself... gee, bumby ride and constantly close to starvation...) I love it!!!

Not really. It was made in such a way that two square meals would be needed a day (like dustwich, gohan, etc) or 1 rationpack a day or bread three times a day. That required modifying the nutrition of the foods as well.

cant you just go in the advanced option and put the hunger time higher? just a question not shure if its not the same thing in the end
