You're best bet to get consistent spawns out of them is to either play on a moon, or else in space such as on an asteroid. Personally I tend to make orbital stations above moons and I get random spawns every 15-30minutes (Though not always these spawns, the game has a lot of default spawns it can choose from too).
As for lag, some of the ships have a ridiculous amount of blocks. Sorry to say this but I don't really have the motivation to upgrade this mod to fix performance issues or other things. For any new worlds I would advise users to check out Sunoko's version 2.0 redesign. This is really just for people who have really old worlds who have already had this prior version running. (2.0 requires a new save, this version does not)
Update, we havent seen anythign spawn yet...
The atmospheric drones I don't really know about. I've never seen a random encounter spawn on any of the planets since they wont spawn in or near a gravity well. I don't think this mod included any ground-based pirate stations. Everything I imported, fixed, re-exported looks pretty darn space-faring to me.
is there a button to trigger it???
There are a couple prefabs I need to go back and double check, because I got halfway through updating this mod before I realized ships can have multiple PB's (oops!)
If anyone notices something you believe is an issue with this mod (such as one of the spawns not functioning how you think it should) please let me know.
