I don't know if it's possible, but could you make your cosmetic mods cosmetics "findable" in-game? Like the original cosmetics from the game. In chests and such.

Clothing recipes have been removed, you can now craft a gothic vending machine at the inventor's table for 300 pixels. You can purchase all clothing items from there.
