Soul 13 Jul, 2024 @ 6:56am
oooh gocha gocha,thx
-bg-  [author] 12 Jul, 2024 @ 10:40pm
You need 100 intel, make sure you have it, because of the certain limitations it can't show up as the other add resource button at the bottom
Soul 12 Jul, 2024 @ 7:31pm
Hmm so I use it with CI,and huh I can't do it,like I have all the stuff required,a Major,a captain templar and a seargant, but the button stay grayed,an idea?

Thank you chaps. I have posted in the discussions tab, to confirm that this mod works with Covert Infiltration. I have used your comments as reference if that's ok? Hopefully others will find it useful information.
Cúchulainn 25 Jan, 2024 @ 10:38am
Also confirming, this works :> finally got a chosen weakness to exploit
Lebowskichild 24 Jan, 2024 @ 10:21am
@markmacias_98 Thanks for the confirmation.
markmacias_98 23 Jan, 2024 @ 8:50pm
Confirmed : Work perfectly in Covert Infiltration
Cúchulainn 16 Jan, 2024 @ 10:02am
No one has confirmed, but I'm hoping it does? I have it on my campaign right now...
Lebowskichild 11 Jan, 2024 @ 11:21am
Has anyone been able to test and confirm that this mod works with Covert Infiltration?
Kinsect 5 Apr, 2023 @ 3:07pm
Can this work with Covert Infiltration?
zerver 15 Nov, 2022 @ 6:54am
is it possible to add a config to set the max number of weaknesses a chosen can have?
Dęąth Viper 17 Oct, 2022 @ 8:02pm
Does this work with covert infiltration?
silverleaf1 17 Jul, 2022 @ 3:00pm
@-bg- I do not know if this is possible or not but it seems to be in a similar vein as this mod. Another possible idea would seem to be a mission to counter a Chosen strength.
Waves 20 Jun, 2021 @ 1:16pm
Safe to install mid-campaign?

Can this mod combine with New Chosen Traits mod? Thanks!
Surfin' Pikachu 1 Nov, 2019 @ 5:08am
Gotcha, cheers for that ^_^
-bg-  [author] 31 Oct, 2019 @ 10:26pm
yup only 1
Surfin' Pikachu 30 Oct, 2019 @ 6:30pm
Thanks for the info, I'll try it out and see how I get on. But just so I'm sure I understand you correctly first, you're saying that any type of faction hero class (modded or otherwise) can be valid for use on the covert op, but only one class at a time? I.E. Templars, Psions OR Dragons, and not all three as valid options at the same time?
-bg-  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 3:59pm
you need to add the line ChampionSoldierClass=*replace with the soldier class template name* under [*faction class* X2ResistanceFactionTemplate] in XComGameBoard.ini of the faction mod
-bg-  [author] 30 Oct, 2019 @ 3:57pm
the modded faction class has to be properly linked with the faction, each faction has a setting for their hero class and only said class is eligible for the slot. If the faction mod and class mod is separate they might make it so the faction has no hero class.
Surfin' Pikachu 30 Oct, 2019 @ 8:40am
I would like to second Princess' comment of 24 Feb. If possible, it would be cool to see this mod updated to recognise the modded faction classes. Not sure if they'd have to be enabled individually or not but if so there are only six presently I believe; Templar Psion/Dragon, Skirmisher Heavy/Heretic and Reaper Scythe/Cryptic.

Regardless, this mod is cool.
Lord Neccy 6 Oct, 2019 @ 4:26pm
I coulda sworn at one point this was a thing in the game naturally, or that the chosen would get another weakness over time but it got removed or broke for whatever reason.
Dragon32 9 Aug, 2019 @ 10:21am
@Swanky:
It does cost 100 Intel, do you have that? It's not well displayed, part of the mission description, but I think -bg- is up against limitations of the UI there.
Swanky 9 Aug, 2019 @ 1:50am
I'm having the issue that I can't start the covert ops. I get it, I can select it, I can select my soldiers, but I cannot start the op. I'm using other mods that add covert ops which do work, I suspect there's a hidden conflict somewhere with those.
Noob Train 1 Aug, 2019 @ 10:28am
I use and vote up a lot of your mods but I can't see a use for this. The Chosen are too easy to defeat as it stands. If anything, they need more strengths not weaknesses. I subscribe to lots of mods that make the Chosen stronger, more unique, and tougher combatants.
Mice 23 Feb, 2019 @ 11:42pm
is there a way to make it so that the classes from the mod for adding extra faction classes (Psion Templar/Dragon Templar etc) count as a regular Templar? from what im seeing in my game the game doesnt let me do any of the covert ops even if all my faction heroes are at max rank (not vanilla faction classes obviously)
-bg-  [author] 10 Feb, 2019 @ 8:46am
it's a covert action, so you don't
Jakesullycom13 10 Feb, 2019 @ 7:13am
So what happens when you do the mission? Do you fight the chosen?
KhanKeal 29 Nov, 2017 @ 2:33pm
how can we change the intel values needed to start the mission? I want to try it by removing it or lowering/increasing it, cause I cant find anything else that might be either conflicting or not being implimented. I dont know...
Dragon32 28 Nov, 2017 @ 3:24pm
@KhanKeal:
You can take a screenshot using the Steam overlay, then upload it to your Steam storage space, then post a link here.
KhanKeal 28 Nov, 2017 @ 3:16pm
the button to launch is greyed out. how do I link/send screenshots?
-bg-  [author] 28 Nov, 2017 @ 3:14pm
ok the laucnh button grey out or clicking it does nothing, if it greys out show me a screenshot of that part.
KhanKeal 28 Nov, 2017 @ 3:13pm
I also cannot launch any of the expose weakness covert ops, even with all the requirements to start, and the 100 intel listed in the flavor text. I am using the multipul covert action mod, which increases maximum number of covert actions to 3. I tried launching with no active missions though, and it still would not launch.
twopointfour 27 Sep, 2017 @ 12:15pm
I'm having a difficult time trying to get this action going. I have over 100 intel and the troop requirements but "confirm action" is still blanked out and I can't tell where I'm going wrong.

The second requirement is to have a Major ranked Reaper but the reward is a promotion and both my Reapers are already ranked colonel, could that be it?
-bg-  [author] 23 Sep, 2017 @ 10:40am
just intel, fgs it's in the description of the ops
PotatoLord 23 Sep, 2017 @ 6:03am
is it something like alien data cache/facility lead?
-bg-  [author] 22 Sep, 2017 @ 11:27pm
you need the required intel, the current UI don't show it very well.
PotatoLord 22 Sep, 2017 @ 11:25pm
I tried to expose chosen weakness but it doesn't allow me to confirm action? I was sending it against warlock, and it requires captain+ templar (which i have), and i tried to send in mox which is his bondmate also fullfill (major+) but it does'nt allow me to confirm action?
-bg-  [author] 22 Sep, 2017 @ 10:15am
only single target abilities
Khan 22 Sep, 2017 @ 2:23am
4 tiles. Good to know. Someone should maybe update the description to make that clear. Just for reference, does it apply to all kinds of attacks from within 4 tiles - melee, heavy weapons, psi attacks, special attack perks (e.g. combat protocol or bombardment), or only gunfire?
-bg-  [author] 22 Sep, 2017 @ 2:09am
it takes extra damage from any attacks made within 4 tiles, so shotguns
Khan 22 Sep, 2017 @ 1:50am
Then what exactly is: "Brittle: Takes increased damage from close range attacks?" Does that just mean it takes extra damage from ordinary gunshot attacks from someone standing right next to it?
-bg-  [author] 21 Sep, 2017 @ 11:33pm
it already does that, there's no weak vs melee weakness
Khan 21 Sep, 2017 @ 10:58pm
Please modify the weakness logic to prevent Chosen from gaining "weaknesses" that are negated by their existing strenghs - for example, Weak vs Melee on a Chosen that has Immunity to Melee (net result: immunity overrides weakness, no damage).
Jeremy 11 Sep, 2017 @ 4:46pm
Love it - @Galgus, just gotta switch that 'be' and 'now' around for a little more silky smoothness. ;)
BlackMagick_88 10 Sep, 2017 @ 9:24pm
@Galgus I like that idea, -bg- That'd be a great improvement.
Galgus 10 Sep, 2017 @ 5:03pm
The mod looks great, but I'd change the wording a bit.

"Commander, we have received intel of a new weakness of the Chosen "X"; our soldiers will be now able to exploit it in future encounters."

Hopefully I didn't misuse use a semi-colon.
