Hi, for whomever is interested, i managed to fix the "mod not showing in the 2k launcher" issue.

DISCLAMER: I'm not a modder, I just did some very slightly educated guesses and trials and errors, but this worked

1) Download to the vanilla version of this mod (id=650809111), the launcher does recognize this version although there are many missing textures and/or meshes in WOTC
2) Change the name of the file in the root folder to "WOTC_JsleezysRepurposedGear.XComMod"
3) Separately downoald this mod (id=1132838346) and move its 5 folders to the vanilla version mod folder (and overwrite the ones already there).

That's it. Good luck and if it works for you as well, please let me know!

Out of curiosity, is there a reason why this WotC version is almost 5x larger in file size than the vanilla version?

What is this called on the Manage Mods list? I am losing my mind.

Mod's not changed in more than 4 years. Do you have WotC?

Try deleting:
My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\CookedPCConsole\LocalShaderCache-PC-D3D-SM4.upk

But it should be updated each time you start the game.

Some great Mod Troubleshooting advice

I'm using the AML launcher and this mod doesn't work. Nothing is showing up in-game.

Some of the gears appear to be out of color or pure black like its a bug. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Anyone having launcher problems should use "AML" or Alternate Mod Launcher on Github. its easy to use and held configure and order your mods. Im currently running 139 mods through it with no issues.

Even I am geting the same issues as Cat Kraken had expiranced.

If I remember correctly that asset was in the game for females, just not being used. The only way to make it accessible to males would be to import it into Blender and size it correctly for male models and import it back into the game.
