Zathian 28 Mar, 2017 @ 4:42pm
cheesychicken, they dont have nord hero armor in vanilla but you can craft the original armor set, its under the deadric category for some reason, unless you use a mod that alters the menus. but check there

hav ancient nord hero armor because i cant craft or find it and ive completed the Companions quests the one where im the new Harbringer and Eurlund isnt selling them! PLEASE add it,k? And all I can craft is Nord hero battleaxe, sword, bow, greatsword, and war axe. No ancient nord hero armor in my smithing inventory not in: its NOT steel or ebony ethier!

does this mod enclude the skyforge dagger being smith-able? cauz i never used that knife, due to that retarded glitch.
da_numbah-1 13 Jul, 2014 @ 6:44pm
are the armors of a custom design? or just re-labeled vanilla armor?
Quantum 9 Aug, 2013 @ 5:18pm
The Plate Steel Armors are overpowered/lore-breaking... the Skyforge Steel Plate Cuirass is stronger than Daedric Armor. Instead of just removing/reducing its power, though, it might be more interesting to add the Skyforge effect to other Heavy Armors you make yourself, which would make Skyforge Daedric stronger again.

Jorvaskr was built by the skyforge because of it's higher quality of steel. which is primarily used by nords. it only makes sense that if other metals had specific forges that produced them at a better quality, it would be in a specific location. Although i am curious of whether or not the snow elves just used standard elven swords when their armor is so much better. i think it would be interesting to find a snow elf blade. wouldn't you agree?
Orbis 30 May, 2013 @ 2:05am
Well, Sir, if there were enhanced Dwarven items, they would be found in a Dwarven ruin, say, Blackreach. As for elven, they would probably be in the Embassy.
Sehito 25 Mar, 2013 @ 8:45pm
Not necessarily lore wise it is said the skyforge itself produces steel better then anywhere else in skyrim which gets me wondering why it doesnt do the same to other metals like for example Skyforge Dwarven Sword or something like that since the skyforge in general is a very mysterious and somewhat magical forge

I don't see this one on the Nexus. Would love to though. Question. What perk do you need in order to produced skyforged steel items? I would think you would need to be pretty advanced to match Eorlund
Boserx 26 Dec, 2012 @ 4:02pm
Does this work with Dawnguard ?
Short_trek_Hero  [author] 25 Dec, 2012 @ 5:02am
@ianliew: for Eorlund to start selling these items, you'll need to have progressed in the Companions questline to the point where he normally starts selling Skyforged items to you. However, the items should be available for crafting right away, except for Nord Hero arrows: those will only be available after completing the questline, like the vanilla Nord Hero items.
ianliew 24 Dec, 2012 @ 10:45am
Do I need to complete the Companions questline for Skyforge weapons and armor, or just need access to the Skyforge? The Nord Hero weapons (together with the Ancient Nord Armor) requires completion of the questline if I remember correctly.
AGM 24 Dec, 2012 @ 8:47am
ahaha, I'll defintely sub
Short_trek_Hero  [author] 24 Dec, 2012 @ 4:23am
@AGM: You are correct. I'll change the description to more accurately reflect what the mod does.
AGM 23 Dec, 2012 @ 5:54pm
So did I understand it correctly? It mods the skyforge and does what you say, not making skyforge craftable at any forge? I mean skyforge weapons are already stronger
lfourness 23 Dec, 2012 @ 3:33pm
It doesn't work for me.
Short_trek_Hero  [author] 23 Dec, 2012 @ 5:32am
Thanks for the interest in this mod and your suggestions! I'll be updating this mod over the next couple of days.

@victorps: good suggestion
@Flounce: I'll see what I can do about normal regular steel
@stevevmn: there are Nord Hero arrows in the CK, but no recipe to make them (not even in Dawnguard, which adds recipes for all other arrows). With my mod, you can now make them using Ancient Nord Arrows and steel.
@{Kn}Græyback_nz: I think Flounce is right: the "magic" is in the forging of the steel, not the steel itself.
@[β] Richyda, @doanemarshall: I'll put up some pictures when I finish some retexturing I've been planning. For now, the items look exactly like their regular steel counterparts... or do they? They should shine a little brighter during the day ;)
@kimster: I've added stats to the description. The items are roughly 30% better than regular steel.
WOOWOHOOH 22 Dec, 2012 @ 1:17pm
Can you add Imperial and scaled skyforge armors, they are made out of steel right.
Kendrick_Yes 20 Dec, 2012 @ 4:13pm
"Shouldn't skyforge steel items require skyforged steel ingots?"
No, the lore with Skyrforged Steel is that it's just regular steel that 'holds tighter' in the fires of the Skyforge, meaning it can be crafted sharper and stronger that in a regular forge.
If Skyforged Steel was actually physically a different material it wouldn't be as special... (And wouldn't be called Skyforged, as it wouldn't be unique to the Skyforge)

... The real mystery is, if that's how Skyforged Steel works... Why can I still make regular Steel stuff at the Skyforge?
GRIMMREEPER 20 Dec, 2012 @ 1:06pm
there is a missing recipe to raft nord hero arrows hmm stange
Grayback 20 Dec, 2012 @ 12:37pm
Shouldn't skyforge steel items require skyforged steel ingots? Otherwise a very nice mod
doanemarshall 20 Dec, 2012 @ 11:28am
I second Rich, add images.
[β] Richyda 20 Dec, 2012 @ 10:18am
Also, I wanted to ask if you can add images. Still, thanks for fixing the stuff with the Nord Hero arrows!
DuctTapeWolf 15 Dec, 2012 @ 9:44am
could you please add the stats of the items craftable?
