@victorps: good suggestion
@Flounce: I'll see what I can do about normal regular steel
@stevevmn: there are Nord Hero arrows in the CK, but no recipe to make them (not even in Dawnguard, which adds recipes for all other arrows). With my mod, you can now make them using Ancient Nord Arrows and steel.
@{Kn}Græyback_nz: I think Flounce is right: the "magic" is in the forging of the steel, not the steel itself.
@[β] Richyda, @doanemarshall: I'll put up some pictures when I finish some retexturing I've been planning. For now, the items look exactly like their regular steel counterparts... or do they? They should shine a little brighter during the day ;)
@kimster: I've added stats to the description. The items are roughly 30% better than regular steel.
No, the lore with Skyrforged Steel is that it's just regular steel that 'holds tighter' in the fires of the Skyforge, meaning it can be crafted sharper and stronger that in a regular forge.
If Skyforged Steel was actually physically a different material it wouldn't be as special... (And wouldn't be called Skyforged, as it wouldn't be unique to the Skyforge)
... The real mystery is, if that's how Skyforged Steel works... Why can I still make regular Steel stuff at the Skyforge?
