@Masterman The mod still does what it always did, in the previous version adding ammo or slots to both the axe and the pistol had no impact in the game.
As pistols can't equip weapons mods and axes don't have ammo or slots.

You can now add slots or ammo to all weapons because of how to mod has been reshaped.

@AveonKnight That would require me to do more work on the mod, i'm currently not modding X-Com 2, so no. You're more than welcome to use my mod as a guide in creating such a mod yourself.

I was looking to modfy the damage values for the alien hunter weapons. You mod allows to edit only the ammo size upgrade slots for the weapons. Is it possible to add control over the damage values as well ?

@AveonKnight I think you're asking about modding in general, if you go into the tools section in your library, you'll be able to download the SDK for creating mods.

how do I unlock changing the weapon damage values ? If I edit the ini files in the DLC folder it has no effect. I have the WOTC version installed. I tried editing the ini files in the WOTC DLC folder.

Should be fixed in the current version, altho if it doesn't revert by itself, you can configure it back to default in the "XComGame.ini" associated with this mod.

Gonna echo that issue with spark cannons following the same clip size/upgrade slot progression. In WotC Sparks already possess a clip size of 3 and 2 upgrade slots at all tech levels.

tried the mod again, on rookie dificulty, no beta strike, all other mods on, works fine. but on legend, beta strike on, all other mods on, does no damage. theres also a slight overlap in the weapon info page once the weapon is modded. cant figure out why it would possibly be affected by just the difficulty setting and beta strike, but i could be missing something else. thanks any way.

I think this mod is affecting Spark Heavy Cannons somehow, as they have otherwise inexplicable decided to have the same ammo and upgrade slot proggression as the bolt caster. No idea how or why but ive watched it during a full playthrough and this is the only weapon edit that could explain it.

@azri3l Sounds like a mod conflict. If you only have this mod enabled would the problem still happen?
There's already a mod that only adds upgrade slots, i wanted more ammo too, so i made this mod.

love the idea, but it made the boltcaster do no damage on hit for some reason. disabled this mod and it worked again. didnt seem to have any conflicts when i loaded the game using the mod manager. also agree that ammo doesnt need to be upgraded since it would have the ability to get more shots with the upgrade slot. but thats just me.

Well...extra ammo slots really aren't required if you have enough slots to make them comparable to chosen weapons. The 'invisible in the upgrade screen' glitch probably has something to do with the real time modle (the weapon looks change as you add new stuff). If that pic can be found and made static... I do like the changes and DON'T think this mod is OP one bit. If anything, the slots should go 2, 3 and 4. Thanks Oni.

@Daddy Kon You can configure the amount of ammo and slots in the "XComGame.ini" included with the mod.
Should be located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500" Then you'll have to search for the mod in one of those folders.

Bolt Caster has been a weapon from the Alien Hunter DLC that I wouldn't touch even with a 10 inch pole.

All my late game weapons have 4 slots after doing breakthroughs and missions. 2 slots are just not enough, they still suck. Can we do better than this?

I understand, but personally I think both increased ammo capacity and ability to apply upgrades is too much (+ expanded magazines exist, so maybe you could remove additional ammo bonus from Magnetic weapons). But this is only my opinion, I'm not a veteran of XCOM2 (I'm on my first normal playthrough, Veteran difficulty), and maybe these changes are really essential for higher difficulties.

@Uriziel I don't like using the Alien Hunter Weapons in the late game, i don't find them reliable enough when they only have 1ammo.
For me it's either give them more ammo or not use them at all.
