Does this change affect the Stun Lancers' BS ability to "unhack" robots? You know that thing where they poke a hacked robot with their magic stick, "Hacked effect lost", and the robot turns around and attacks you in the same turn? Yeah, that one.

I'm guessing not, or perhaps it's removed in WotC, but I had to ask.

Does this mod also remove the target limit on regular Archon Pinions or just the Archon King's Devastate?

I havent played this game in months now I guess after some update I get the message "Error detected attempting load of package: ImpairmentbalanceWOTC." I tried the solution others posted about this error on other mods like verify files, unsubscribe, resubscribe, deleting configure file. Nothing seems to work

Are the trade-offs necessary for the mod to work? Because really, I don't think I want Berserkers with unlimited quake. What will that do to civilians during retaliations?

Sometimes the mods you have dont kick in correctly, i've had it often. It feels like everything is running correctly, but half of them are not "effective". The only fix i have whenever that happens (that i can detect when my Instant Avenger Menus dont work anymore) is to clear your INI files and force the game to reinitialize the whole config. The first launch after clearing the config makes XCOM crash sometimes, you have to launch it twice and then presto, everything works back. Try it just for fun. Use Instant Avenger Menus, its a great way to see if something isnt working correctly in game. I have a feeling you have other mods which are probably secretly not working also, especially if you have a lot.

I've had this mod pretty much since you released it. However, just started a fresh game, with fresh installed mods, had a mission with several Stun Lancers that one turn KO'd my entire squad with unconscious hits. Using AML, don't see any conflicts, not sure why this isn't working anymore...

I have all DLC if that matters.

Use my regular version, same name no WOTC for base game.
For WOTC without DLC, it just wont have any effect for those so yes.

I never did like unconsciousness as a status effect.. the only place it's fine is when Shadowbound, because they wake right back up when the Spectre dies.

I was waiting for this. Had a full squad wipe on the blacksite mission when the fist enemy encounter led to my medic being k/o'd by a stun lancer.. so stupid lol

it is not cool. its RNG bull that removes a squadmate through no fault of your own and it does not matter if they are at full health or not. On beta strike its even worse. The archon king can use devastate 2-3 times per engagement, you can only move one, ONE, member of your squad before it hits. thats 3 squad mates knocked out if they fail their roll. on my set up with better ai and larger pod sizes (which btw make lancers come in larger groups so much higher chance of a KO from them) KO's on that scale are squad wiping and potentially campaign ending.

Stun Lancers can KO if you fail 5 resistance rolls, which happens a lot. It's the equivalent of a Sectoid Mind Controlling result, which also happens a lot.

DLC leaders are supposed to be capped at 1 KO per ability, but theres nothing stopping them from reusing those abilities.

thats great but it did not answer my question. on beta strike even though your troops can have 20-30 hp the king and queen can KO multiple squad members in a single move. Stun lancers can KO a single squad member, if thats your specialist you've lost revive. As for squad bonds i believe i'm correct in saying that its only at level two you get that and as avenger pointed out its only for the bond mate.

I killed him on Legend. Wotc. T2 wteapons. I always have 1 specialist with medkit and bond soldiers (t2 bond allows to "revive" their friends)

@A. Jensen You have Revival protocol, and you have 1 charge. If your specialist gets hit, what do you do? There's not many counters in WOTC vanilla.

Mutons can render unconscious with their melee attack still. Not sure if you wish to tackle that.
