Font is unreadable, character moves half as fast as he should, menu's are just confusing, everyone uses swords regardless of class, water is buggy, random part of clothes flashes, name thing is just not okay, 2/3 of the game is walking to that quest guy and following him. Unless theres something after that? Because the door is apparently one way, an you can't go anywhere. The one NPC guy doesn't animate, I can't move diagonaly, which means you probably used the drag and drop for most of this. If there's more to the game, disregard most of this. I hope this is your first 2 hours in gamemaker and/or you're 8.

Not sure if it's just me but the menu wouldn't pop up when I hit the "Esc" key. Had to Alt+Tab to get out of the game.

@noah.d well of course that is true, there is no differences at all to these 2 games are there? its not like its a completely different subgenre, with alot of different features, of course not...
in all honesty though, think about it. the only real similarity that would qualify for this being a so called "ripoff" is the fact youre shooting with the mouse, which is also quite different from rotmg if you think about it...

the game the gameplay and the idea and even the characters are a total ripoff of realm of the mad god if you want to play this finished go play realm of the mad god

also, make the guy with the key the same speed as the player, it looks kinda funky when youre running alongside him and he bounces up and down
needs walking animations and water stuffs too, but im sure you though about that

this game looks amazing! although some stuff could be made better, fx naming your character (clicking is a pain in the butt) and the movement too (WHY U NO DIAGONAL?) and also saves... but overall, it looks pretty friggan neato

Looks the same as ROTMG and also to Crafty219 Legend of yore is a remake of rotmg i believe aswell

add diagonal movement with keypresses i.e. A+S= left downward movement, W+D=Right upward movement. It's really good, I would like to be able to be at your level of game making.

So far so good, Though I agree with some that the tile generation takes too long (I imagine the world is massive!) You could try to manage this by only loading regions at a time, Loading more if you wander far enough to trigger a new 'region' to be made. Also some sounds. There's a nifty flash program http://www.superflashbros.net/as3sfxr/ <- there that you can use to make retro 8bit waves that might be useful. :3

I like these retro style games. I am trying to make one myself too. Hopefully i can upload it soon when it works enough to have one level. Looks promising. Keep it up, I will stay subbed to your game.
