@EthylVanny I was playing on a map where the npcs were controling the turret on the map and i even saw a combine get on it when they pushed us back
(P.S it was on a combine survival map)

@flufflepuff There's a mod with custom turrets, Using a remover tool and then Replacing the old turrets with the npc only turrets Will Let them use it, Although it is NPC only.

I believe I've figured it out. I think the barnicle is keeping most of the combine ground units from advancing. Kill the barnicle, and see what happens.

any combination i tried they stayed back only enemys that would move towards me were Zombies antlions would stay in the landing spots after jumping down combine just stayed in spawn

huh, thats kinda odd. Thats not what happened on my playthrough. I contructed a node graph by hand to try and make the AI more agressive, and it seemed to work for me. On what conditions did they just stay back?

It has buttons that you can press to spawn NPCs automatically.
