It's way too small and the control points are acting weird.

glows, sparks etc. dont works, then i said fine, i'll just do the compiled effect, so i've tried parent_smg /shotgun and such. same result, insta-crash. so yeah.
i've wasted all day testing and nothing works, so it really isn't vague sadly.
or did you just straight-up ripped them from tf2?
These effects go on weapons.
download the vtf file and use a $basetexture command in the element viewer for the weapon you want. Then type in the location of the vtf file (where you put in in your sfm folder) and the skin should work.
