@Seremath, I have published changes to the script to support save/load. If you want to pull those changes into your version, please do and I will remove mine after.

I'll reply to my own comment: I fixed the bug myself in the lua script so savegames work. Can send this to you Seremath if you want to include the changes.

I found a bug: when I save a game and reload (or load an autosave), the 'ready' and 'hide' buttons do not come back. When loading the save an error is seen: "Error in script (Global) function <onload>: chunk_3 (224,29-233,6): attempt to index a nil value" - anyone know a way around this problem?

Would you be willing to add the Rivalry tiles if I scan them and send the images to you? Just the tiles, not the new modules.

It seems like the old link disappeared. I changed them and it seems to work for me again, feel free to try.

I see that error too. And I have the same problem in the games I've scripted. "PDF Error: Unsupported File Format." I use custom PDFs for rules. They work for a few days, and then the error pops up. There's not much online that has helped identify the problem.
Bluetom 30 Dec, 2020 @ 6:58am
One of the PDFs doesn't load. Says "PDF Error: Unsupported File Format".
Think it's the blank one, between the game box and the player screens (next to the 80vp stack).
Normal rules work.

I'm very impressed with the script you wrote. I never thought you could get everything done in Global. I'll be using some of your coding ideas in my own mods.

I played it again in 2P mode. Thanks for fixing the additional automatic die.

same bug as Potato King: The tile bag just disappeared mid-game :(
Potato King 8 May, 2020 @ 7:59pm
It happened about the half way point of both games. People were drawing out of it fine and then suddenly one person goes to draw out of it and it wasn't there.
Seremath  [author] 8 May, 2020 @ 3:55am
I tried looking for it to happen but it hasn't happened to me yet. Objects are only deleted during the start of the game so is shouldn't be removed. Do you have any other info on the incident? When it happened/Did you move stuff around etc.

Twice tonight during our game the galaxy bag disappeared off the board and was unrecoverable, we are pretty it was not due to nefarious reasons. Would it be possible to have this looked into.

Thanks

Great work, thank you! Any chance of the expansion Rivalry?

While I could not reproduce it under the conditions you mentioned I did fix two things that may have contributed. It didn't keep manually flipping in mind so it sometimes flipped things face-up at the end of a round. Secondly some of the things of the players not playing wasn't removed correctly which may have caused the tiles flipping while nobody had a die there. I hope it was on of these two issues and it is fixed.

Hey, the mod works great except for the 2 player extra tile roll. For the first two rounds it correctly flipped the tile that was announced in the chat, but later on it started flipping more than one tile, at some point just every phase tile was being flipped each round. Either way, thank you so much for your work!
Seremath  [author] 16 Mar, 2020 @ 2:25pm
Alright, should be fixed
DrSeltsam 16 Mar, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Hi, thank you for improving this so fast! I tested it and there is only one issue left: the extra die should be a white die with its corresponding distribution. In the current implementation from time to time a "wild" result shows up. That should not happen on a white die. Nevertheless, this mod is great! Thank you for bringing this game to Tabletop Simulator!

Ok, extra dieroll for two players should added. Never played with two so never looked at the extra rule. Let me know whether it works fine or not as I've not touched tabletop scripting in a while.
DrSeltsam 15 Mar, 2020 @ 2:48pm
Hi, what about the 3rd phase chosen by rolling an additional dice? This is not scripted, isnt it?
Autrizzm 4 Jul, 2019 @ 1:17am
I'm going to second the rulebook comment: not only is it awkward that the rulebooks are stacked cards that get easily and awkwardly dealt to players, but the standard rules don't seem to load when I right click -> search through the deck, so it's actually impossible for me to read the rules ingame right now. As a rules-related side note, it would be great if the shields were added in some form, at least because they include the phase guides and the die distribution. With appropriate rules changes, I think the game would be a lot easier to introduce people to in TTS.

I also wonder about a few things:
1) if there's a decent way of stopping people from re-rolling dice unfairly
2) if they'll ever fix the dice cups
3) if bowls could be used instead of bags for nicer display of the dice

Otherwise, it's a joy to play. I think this version is the only real working version. I can live without cups for now, honestly.

The models should be fixed now. If there are other issues let me know. Don't forget to rate/vote/favorite so the mod becomes more visible
Pepper0ni 1 Jul, 2019 @ 8:52am
Models for tiles are broken, the non-scripted mod is updated to fix them so it should be a quick fix.

This is a great version, works fantastically, but I can't find the shields with the references on them. Also the rulebooks are kind of wonky (a set of cards with words on them instead of a book) but elsewise very good. 4/5

The scripts seem to work pretty well, very streamlined! So many people have put work into modding this thing, it looks great. Get some futuristic containers for pieces and it's almost a DLC. One of my problems with RftG is that you can't really tell if someone's cheating or even just playing incorrectly. I wish there was a way to take something like Tumba's dice roller, which records all dice events, and hide the rolls until its activated during a dice reveal or something. That would keep everyone honest/informed. I started work on a homebrew variant/expansion mod for this game but heavy work life killed it. Still wanting to get it done.
