This looks super cool, but my game keeps telling me it is broken.

Very good replacement to the vanilla 3-way interchange, if you also use the trumpet interchange, this will make your city not-only beautiful, but also immensely realistic.

I've updated the roads with Mass Transit 2 lane highways, and i would like to know if i can upload it, with your permission ofcourse. I will mention you and link back to this asset. It just allows for less reliance on mods!

Hah, I'm such a noob; the requirements are a bit far to the right. I always thought it would be in the description itself. Thanks though! :)

Not in the description. It's in the "Required Items" list on right hand side of the screen.

No, can't see any requirements in the description.
All I can read is: "3-Way Directional Interchange" & "3-Way Directional by xX-WizKing-Xx"

@... Yeah, you'll likely need "Network Extensions 2" mod for the 2-lane highway used in the interchange. There should be a link to the mod that pops up (if you don't have it already) when you attempt to download the asset.

I'm new to C:S, and especially modding. Do I need another mod for this to work? If so, where/how can i see that one of these mods needs another mod? Can't see it in the description?

@Mortified Potato...Yes, perhaps you've disabled the roadtype. Its the 2-lane highway you'll need to have enabled. Hopefully that fixes the error.
Amroth 9 Dec, 2017 @ 4:41am
Well, I have the mod options in the settings, and I can plop the extra roads the mod adds.. so yeah.

I have disabled some roads though, maybe your interchange is using one of the roadtypes i've disabled in Network Extensions 2?
xX-WizKing-Xx  [author] 8 Dec, 2017 @ 4:40pm
@Mortified Potato...I've only encountered that error when my Network Extensions 2 mod has been disabled. Are you sure you have the mod enabled in your content manager? It's the only explanation for the error as everything else used is vanilla.
Amroth 7 Dec, 2017 @ 7:31am
I get this error:
Custom Assets: 1139997021.3-Way Directional_Data: NetInfo missing [BrokenAssetException]

and I'm pretty sure I have Network Extensions 2 mod.

@dudeinanigloo Thanks for your feedback! I actually didn't plan on adding this onto the workshop unitl a few people on Reddit requested it, so it's probably not as polished as it could have been had I made it with that intention.

While I do agree that the addition of merging lanes would add to the element of realism, given how the game mechanics work it isn't really a necessity for the interchange to function. Having said that, it's easy enough for anyone to add merging lanes should they wish to. All you'd have to do is upgrade the preceding/following road to a higher/lower capacity road - I've added an image (see screenshot #4) as an example of this.

In relation to the elevation changes, I think the branching roads (ie. on/off ramps) are very smooth given how compact the interchange is. The transition had to be quite drastic in order to have a realistic looking clearance on the overpasses and it looks a lot more seamless than I thought it would when I was experimenting with it.

I have a couple issues I want to address with your design.

First, the points at which the ramps merge with the highways need to have additional merge lanes added to them (typically, one merge lane for each ramp lane). Highway interchanges are designed with uninterrupted flow of high-speed traffic in mind; to this end, highway merge lanes are typically at least 100 m / 330 ft long.

Second, the elevation changes across the whole design could be smoother.

Apart from that, it looks nice overall; the geometry is good, and the decorative foliage is a nice touch.

beautiful and functional! Love it

ah like that, i use the overpass blocks then, or retaining walls + ploppable asphalt, looks so good (seen it a couple times on youtube
xX-WizKing-Xx  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 1:56pm
@St4Lk3r the quay walls are there purely for decorative reasons and serve as an example of how you can detail the asset. The first image in the slideshow, however, is an accurate representation of what you get when you download the asset.
Pepe Le Pew Pew 25 Sep, 2017 @ 8:47am
looks good, only i dont see the purpose of those underpass blocks/ quai?
UlfDerDritte 25 Sep, 2017 @ 3:50am
well, there are 2 lane highways in the mass transit dlc
euph.olic99 23 Sep, 2017 @ 11:02am
Awesome

@tugsworld You're probably missing the Network Extension Mod; the one that makes it possible to have a 2-lane highway. That's about the only reason I can think of, eveything else is vanilla. I'll add a link to the mod as a one of the requirements.
tugsworld 23 Sep, 2017 @ 9:12am
I got an error message:

Broken assets:

Custom Assets: 1139997021.3-Way Directional_Data: NetInfo missing [BrokenAssetException]

Details:
No details

is there a mod or something else I need to have first?
Orestes 23 Sep, 2017 @ 3:52am
