I recently did a playthrough with this mod and do love it but yeah the way it is is the way it's staying as far as I can tell

XcomClassData.ini has the OffensiveDeck and DefensiveDeck - you could add those skills there.

I'm sorry for being an idiot, but what the heck does the "Legacy" Starting perk actually do?
Judging by the description of "Harboring an unknown power" Made me think it had something to do with psionics, but it hasn't done anything at all yet and i've been using this mod for months.

This mod is currently incompatible with Primary Secondaries
I has something to do with Primary Secondaries not being set up to work of the Operative class that this mod uses
If their is a work around i would like to know
I like this mod idea but after some testing I'm going to have to move on.

Does anyone else have trouble with the Psi lab? I need to upgrade it to unlock the first slot; there's no way to access a second slot. Is this intended, or is there something going on with my modlist?

Getting them up to Colonel without those abilities can be tough though

When I have played this the faction soldiers (reapers and templars for sure) have had their powerful base abilities moved to Colonel rank. The faction soldiers are way way more powerful in this mod because they get access to some of the mod's squaddie abilities. A reaper with vigilante and a full crit build can do like 30 dmg to advent units. It's pretty great

Huh. Well either Skirmishers were never messed up for me (hadn't had one before), or disabling a few random mods did the trick. Will report once I get a Reaper or Templar.

Oh really? I don't have any other class mods active, and from looking over the mod list I can't see anything that would conflict (but I'm no expert). I disabled some stuff that might interact with faction troops, but I feel like that's not it. But looking into the XComClassData.ini, from what I can tell everything looks right. I wasn't sure why there are two sections for each faction troop (one with "-" before each line, and the other with "+" before each line), so was maybe gonna fiddle with those, but I'll give it another go first. May also try not selecting the SW option to start at a faction base (does vanilla just randomly pick? If so this probably won't help).

I really like this mod, but the faction troops are broken for me (since their abilities are random). My starting reaper had neither shadow nor claymore, so all of his level-up ability choices were useless. My templar couldn't rend. Wat.

Tried this recently after playing RPGO awhile. Unchecked RPGO and checked MINT instead.
... Now both are somehow active??

I use 'Choose My Class' to select how a promotion works, and I have two choices: the Operative style from MINT or the Soldier base from RPGO.

This could prove interesting.

also is there any way to make the trained abilities be applied to the weapons instead of per soldier. i am using the utility slot sidearms mod and it is adding mutiple coppies of the buffs, my handgun is also being modified by blade master 2 times for both swords and handguns. on top of which it adds another copy when you use the extra charge on utility slot items.

i haven't gotten the supplies for it recently on my Legend Playthrough.
I'm just still aware of the bowcaster not being equippable nor the psi amp on my psionic soldiers.

I just want to pass along something I am doing with this mod. Classless like WotC has the special classes reaper, skirmisher and templar. There are mod classes that also tend to fit the role of a super class. I added the Biotic and Bio classes to my Classless setup and once one has been created by the game I use mod config to disable the class from appearing again. It is a good way to add classes that are strong and at the same time keep them from dominating the game.

Upgrade it and it allows one person to do psi training that takes 5 days at least for most things if you have a staffed engineer with the soldier.

I continued the campaign and got a freeze later down the line. I did the usual things like checking the integrity of my files and everything checks out. I only had the classless mod and the mods required to run it which I verified were correct on Steam. Classless does not seem to run on my system, at least not under Windows 10.

I ran Classless XCOM with only the required items and the Blacksite mission ran fine so I am not sure where the problem happened in the other two games. I will have to add mods one at a time
and play until I get a problem.

I ran into crashes in two consecutive campaigns. In the second I had a very limited set of mods, mainly for the UI. No class mods. The interesting thing is that in both campaigns the crashes happened when I tried to go to the Blacksite mission. Later I will go no mods except ones needed and try to just quickly go to the Blacksite mission and see if a crash still happens.

This mod seems to be absolutely amazing, it's too bad it's not actively developed anymore (sounds like there are a lot of bugs and incompatibilities). Would certainly get it if it wasn't for that :(

I might have to shorten names in some cases. The abilities sometimes lead towards certain classes and sometimes favor operating in certain terrain or on certain missions. RCV could mean ranger that is good in cities and on VIP missions. R*R could mean a ranger that is good against robotic foes. Working out a code sheet will make this work for me.

I use the nicknames of soldiers and one letter codes to give me the roles of the soldiers. In that way it will also show up in the screen easily. My campaign ground to a halt with a crash. I do not know the cause. The Blacksite mission would not load which likely has little to do with this mod. I llke the way you made some items dependent on other items, often ones seldom built in the unmodded game. I will have to start a new campaign with fewer mods and see what happens.
