you can pack them empty and then have an item with 240 water units at least to fill them (so not vanilla, but you can use the mod that lets you get the water dispenser's big bottle)

I was mostly interested in this for packing water bottles. You can pack 24 empty ones but you can't fill them from a sink or anything. OK, fine. Fill them first and then pack them, right? nope. You can't pack full water bottles. What even is this?

Would you mind If I add yours to mine too

I've added an updated and bug-fixed version of this to my collection of orphaned mods:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2079001985

Compatible with latest version of IWBUMS, and unwrapping the food packages no longer gives cooking XP.

Still looking forward to update if you were planning it, more compatibility with hydrocraft foods/cans would be awesome

To fill the empty 24-pack of water bottles, my game seems to only allow it if i'm using full waterbottles? Like, I can't fill from a sink or from a water barrel. Is there a way to work around that?

I've been a little too busy with work lately, but this is around the time of year when I start working on projects like this. I'd like to have another update for this mod before October, when people get into their horror game kicks. I think it's pretty reasonable to offer Organized Storage as a candidate for inclusion in Hydrocraft, which is a favorite of mine. Perhaps I'll give this another update for improved Hydrocraft support ;)

Hey there, wanted to say i really LOVE this mod and your artwork is fantastic! I work with Hydromancer on the art and coding of hydrocraft. hydro and I wanted to ask you if we could intigrate your mod into hydrocraft, we'd be adding your name and your mod to hydrocrafts mod page on both the forums and here on the workshop. Reason we really want to add your mod is The art is wonderful and it fits so well into the game, we also have been wanting to add our own packaged items into HC for better organization and we think your mod would fit right in :). Please let me know what ya think and ive sent you a friend request so you can shoot me a message on your decision. Thanks for your time and again thanks for a great mod :happy_creep:

I found the ability to box empty bottles incredible handy, as i can put em away and use em with Hydrocraft and make juice or produce other spirits.
CrimsonPants 31 Dec, 2017 @ 7:35am
The only thing here that makes me sad is that it's only for empty bottles. I don't have much use for a pack of empty wine bottles as much as a pack of full ones.

Can you find these packed foods/medicines in locations rarely? It'd feel amazing to scavenege a medical facility in 6 months later, Desperate for something like bandages, And find a full box waiting for you.

How about boxes of lollies and boxes of cereal?

@Freeasabird
The way the food system works now, it's really annoying to try to do something like this with anything that has a nutrition value, and whiskey is a drainable food item. As much as it would make sense, it's not really practical for a lightweight mod like this. I figured that the empty bottles would probably be more useful in bulk than a sealed container of full ones given that there are mods that add various distilling options.

You might eventually find a lootable box of full bottles, however - so that'll look nice in your trophy cabinet.

8 packs of EMPTY whiskey bottels? why empty?

@Hidden, Festive_Ficus:

The next update should add in the remaining vanilla canned goods... I'm going to make a strong effort to get it in before Friday evening, ideally sooner.
A_Mere_Shrubbery 3 Oct, 2017 @ 4:00pm
THANK YOU!! ,i was getting tired of shoving things in garbage bags and such to saev space,do you could add support for more edibles aswell?
Jackal 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:29am
btw canned carrots are unable to be packed.
Jackal 2 Oct, 2017 @ 12:43am
My friend, you are a godsend.
Digger 1 Oct, 2017 @ 6:01pm
This is useful though.
I like to pack items together.

Some things always bothered me that we could not find.
I hope eventually we can get boxes of garbage bags or rolls of garbage bags!

I mean why is there no rolls of garbage bags/boxes of garbage bags T_T.
It's like people used them all up haha.
Gid  [author] 1 Oct, 2017 @ 12:19pm
@Digger Glad to hear it!

I never added the packaged food items to loot tables because the version this was originally built for didn't have anywhere near the modding guidelines we have today, and it wasn't clear if changing the loot tables would overwrite other mods' tables based on load order. I'm considering adding these to the loot tables now as a separate mod in case someone likes the convenience but doesn't want to throw off vanilla balance too much.
Digger 1 Oct, 2017 @ 8:45am
I like this so much!

Now if only I could find these items packed like this out in the world haha.
I think most of the time bandages came in boxes of 10 here in the us.
