Also, "Population Controls" policy choice is hidden from synthetic ascended nations. But the pops themselves still get a -10% happiness penalty from "Population Controls Enabled", even though you can't change the setting because its hidden...

Synthetic Ascendants are supposed to have them, I think. They have individual ethos, happiness, and even unrest. And before 1.8 they did have factions.

I'm guessing somewhere some wires got crossed and a dev confused synthetic ascended populations with starting synthetics when locking them out of faction attraction.

Any chance you could look into the bug where organics who transform into synthetics leave all factions forever? I haven't seen it addressed in the beta patch notes, but I imagine somewhere devs mixed up the variables for starting machines and ascended machine pops.

Yes, I kow. But it says that it's fixed for 1.8. Since 1.8.1 fixes a few things that fixes your mod for 1.8 on it's own, I am afraid that it might cause some issues with 1.8.1.

Though they said in the patch notes that this ssue has been fixed, it actually hasn't and is still bugged.

I found that i could not colonize as a vassal even inside my own borders. Disabled all my Mods and issue was still there. So i am pretty sure its a problem in the vanilla game. Maybe you can add a fix for this in this Mod as well? Would be pretty cool.

oh sorry I was thinking of living standards lol. also I could've sworn that pop control also disabled construction of said robo pops, but I guess not. if firedron isn't getting it (which it looks like he isn't), try checking if it's a mod breaking it, or if your stellaris updated wrong (it happens). you may wanna try validating file integrity. make sure you back up any file you've edited beforehand, if you've done so.

Fatty nerd, i don't have savefile there synthetic pops are effected by population control - can you send me one? I've tried to reproduce this bug, but synth pops are not getting malus in my game – only egalitarian faction is complaining about migration control.

@Ridesdragons I know synthetic pops are effected by happiness. But it didn't happened before 1.8. Pop controled enabled -10% happiness penalty was only for biological pop not for synthetic pop what should be built.

@fatty nerd that's not a bug. synthetic pops are effected by happiness. that's always been the case. robots, droids, and hive minds (including machine empires) are the only ones that don't deal with happiness. everyone else does.

there's no point in taking this down, as the 1.8.1 opt-in patch is still just that: opt-in. most mods do not account for opt-in betas, and they shouldn't anyway, since opt-in betas are a work in progress, and can change upon final release. Knowing paradox, it probably will change.

firedron, the changes he's adding is in the tech tree, to allow machine empires to research to research frontier health. I brought up that this fix was only half-implimented (he worked with supply depots in his buildings file, but never fixed the research it was dependant on in the tech file) and asked if he could impliment the bugfix

Minor bug but the AI_Core fortress the contingency in its Sterilization hubs has a empty XL slot and a empty L slot.

Yeah, I just wanted to know if I could use it and merge it into the mod. Also, I'm not doing the megastructure piece since some people really want to be able to build multiple megastructures and I don't want to overwrite the ability for that.

@古尔梅特 辛格 ® I recommend the mod Utopia Expanded. it enhances megastructures and enable the ability to build things such as dyson rings and machine ringworlds. just make sure that if you're using that mod in tandem with this mod, that you go into this mod's zip folder and delete the megastructures folder, as they both modify the same file. this will ensure that UE gets the final say.
