I have put in the line AWC_DISABLE_LIST[3]="Aim" into the XcomTCPC.ini file but I still got the aim ability from the training center. What am I doing wrong?

Pleasure!

Thank you for this blessing of a mod!

Getting DeepCover and Phantom on 80% of my troops made me want to tear my hair out.

Keep up the good work <3

Invalid arrays are rejected entirely by the program. Enjoy!
Relden Calder 1 Jul, 2018 @ 3:26pm
also remembering to number the exclusions properly. I had three of the same number and for some reason that invalidated ALL of them. (I fixed the problem, btw. :P)

This mod is extremely straightforward. The only difficulty is knowing the template names.
Relden Calder 1 Jul, 2018 @ 9:42am
tried excluding a bunch of bonus abilities so I can get the ones I want, using console commands to check if it worked shows that it didn't, as the excluded abiltiies are still available. please help.

Ok sounds good thank you. Love your mods btw. Thank you for your work makes the game a ton better. I do have a question, but ill ask it on the right mod page.
Juravis  [author] 7 Apr, 2018 @ 4:05pm
Works with everything. If you have a mod that adds perks, load it first.
{OG}Vash 7 Apr, 2018 @ 3:57pm
@ADVENT Avenger Does this work with other mods like classless or Cross Weapon Training. I have a feeling no, but correct me if I'm wrong please. Im using both of those right now with your ADVENT Future Complete AI Pack. Works so far no problems.
Juravis  [author] 23 Feb, 2018 @ 12:33am
I dont see why not, but im not 100%. Like 90%.
KAiXA 22 Feb, 2018 @ 7:30pm
@ADVENT Avenger Does this mod work with last patch?
RainingMetal 30 Sep, 2017 @ 8:46am
Fair point. Still, the way I play the game, I'd rather just use a grenade or ammo type for that inventory slot on another soldier.
Juravis  [author] 30 Sep, 2017 @ 8:40am
I thought Field Medic is a wonderful AWC remake choice, if you exclude the SPARKs (which is just one line of code in their class data.

It's sad that healing is almost always gremlins remotely, i liked the old ways. Gremlin Healing should be a powerful perk.
RainingMetal 30 Sep, 2017 @ 8:23am
I also had the SPARK compatibility with the Training Center. As they cannot carry medkits...

Besides, you really only need medkits on Specialists. Those Gremlin healing protocols make all the difference.
Juravis  [author] 30 Sep, 2017 @ 8:18am
Why?
RainingMetal 30 Sep, 2017 @ 8:03am
I added Field Medic to the list of possible perk options. It was a mistake.
Juravis  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 1:57pm
All in all this should make the game so very slightly harder because i put more 25 pts than i made abilities less costly. But this is extremely negligible in terms of challenge.
Diablo™ ( music ) 25 Sep, 2017 @ 1:44pm
In a nutshell does this mod make the game easier or harder? Chain shot for instance has saved my ass a few times on Commander, and im starting a Legendary run and don't want to get gimp my future colonel when im already using ABA/advent avengers other difficulty increasing mods
Juravis  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 11:08am
DefaultClassdata. Ini
Darklingtw 25 Sep, 2017 @ 10:58am
Ah, okay, I get it now. Thanks!
I thought that the way I would like it to work exists only for the heroes but not the normal soldiers. Can you tell me in which .ini I have to look? (Sorry, this was my last question. Promise!)
Juravis  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 10:35am
Raining nailed it.
Juravis  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 10:35am
Darklingtw that functionality already exists in the ini files you dont need this mod it's what thr heroes use.
RainingMetal 25 Sep, 2017 @ 10:18am
I believe it works more like a blacklist; you tell the game that you don't want the following skills to EVER show up for any soldier (by default, Covering Fire is on this list; I assume the author does NOT like that one), so the game will narrow down to the choices you have left.

You can also list a few skills that normally aren't available through the AWC/TC roulette, such as Conceal, but I'd avoid skills that rely on specific weapons (most of the Gunslinger skills, for example).
Darklingtw 25 Sep, 2017 @ 9:57am
I don`t mean in specific places but to make lists of let`s say eight to ten skills for any given soldier class and the game gives me four random ones of that list. Is this what this mod allows me to do?
Juravis  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 9:20am
This mod allows the game to assign any perk as training but it will NOT give your soldiers specific skills in specific places. Thats just cheating.
Darklingtw 25 Sep, 2017 @ 8:57am
I am not quite sure if I understand what this mod allows me to do..
Will I be able to define what perks a specific soldier class can get in the training center?
Lets say I want a Templar to have just skills from Rangers and PSi Soldiers in his XCOM Skill tree? Or that Sparks can get stuff like combat protocol?
Can I make lists for each soldier class from wich the XCOM Skill tree will choose from randomly?
Juravis  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 8:53am
Faction soldiers don't use training perks so no it wont
RainingMetal 25 Sep, 2017 @ 7:04am
At last I will no longer run into useless abilties such as Chain Shot, Deep Cover, Implacable, and Aim! I hope it's compatible with that mod that always gives those faction soldiers a random ability on each rank, and I hope adding Conceal works just fine...
Lactation Consultant 24 Sep, 2017 @ 10:30pm
Holy Warrior is a skill used by ADVENT Priests. The Priest mind melds with their target, buffing most of their stats and giving them 3 shielding.
Gong-Gle-E 24 Sep, 2017 @ 10:22pm
it's very nice!!!

thanks!
Tal'Raziid 24 Sep, 2017 @ 10:16pm
... anyone?
Britannia 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:58pm
K, I'll just add the ones that aren't standard soldiers skills to that list and see if they work.
Juravis  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:54pm
I dont understand how XCOM works in that regard. HunterProtocol works without it, but Bloodtrail seems to need it. Maybe i was just unlucky and nobody got it the 2-3 times i ran the test. So the answer is, i have no idea. Doesnt hurt to add it i think.
Britannia 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:52pm
Do I need to do +ExtraCrossClassAbilities=(AbilityName="Ability name") for all new abilities I add to the list?
Tal'Raziid 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:37pm
tf is Holy Warrior?
Lactation Consultant 24 Sep, 2017 @ 8:44pm
I'll try. I've been trying for a good week to get Holy Warrior in my game.
Juravis  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 8:43pm
There is nothing technically stopping you from doing that. The game reacts differently to different perks, try it if you want.
Lactation Consultant 24 Sep, 2017 @ 8:41pm
Can I add Holy Warrior and Battlelord with this?
