I disagree with Billy, don't nerf the scripts accuracy. If something MUST be done, simply remove the crosshair (I don't actually know if thats simple or possible at all but I hope so) that way it is realistic but not overpowered.

dude, i dont even care about the script, i just REALLY want that as a skin for the magnum. that picture looks badass

I have a few critiques of this script. If youre going for an accurate depiction of a desert eagle, I think youve drastically overbuffed it with this script. The damage is quite high, but this is ok if the accuracy of the weapon reflects this.

It doesn't.

I get the feeling that when you made this script you wanted to change the magnum to be more of a sniper rifle that fits in the secondary slot, which is fine. However, the fact that i can run and gun with it and have better accuracy than an smg is a bit ridiculous. I think that the spread decay and max movement spread should be set back to their original values.

TL;DR: script makes it too accurate, nerf pls

One's a .44, one's a .50 AE. And they're fired from different weapons, with different barrels, therefore they have different muzzle velocities/energies, different stopping power, right?

@ShadowX & Falerin:
You find it odd that the two mods have the same damage values?
Anduron_Lazul 17 Sep, 2018 @ 1:38pm
OBOW "Revolver" script, presumably a S&W Model 29, .44 Magnum - 200 damage per shot.
OBOW "Desert Eagle" script, MRI / IMI Desert Eagle Mark XIX, .50 AE - 200 damage per shot.

.........................................What?

Oh my god, I love it when people have the "As long as you're happy, I'm happy." approach to... Well... Anything.
Anyways, cheers, I'll be off shooting zombies.

I have a feeling you're right. I'm loving this so much I'm probably spending an unhealthy amount of time on it. xD I've been doing the same for Serious Sam Fusion, making an OBOW for MONTHS, and that mod still isn't done yet. I could probably upload it already. Maybe I should... I'll think about it.

As for modifying my script, feel free! This mod is mostly for my own use, but I've made a bunch that are aimed at what other's want. This script woundn't exist without someone having requested it. So yeah. Modify it to your heart's content, so long as you get a better gaming experience, I'm happy. :)

Jesus Christ... You're probably the person who likes modifying these scripts the most, much like how I like to poke your's, usually when I have a mod that I want to adjust the clip size on or something.

Yep. Living in a Volcanon under my mom's basement. xD Take a look at the changelist above for my script. It has nineteen changes (although I'm beginning to suspect range is just a Counter-Strike leftover that does nothing). Nine...teen... Before I figured out how to script, I was passionately experimenting with other modders' scripts, trying to make my game better. You know what I noticed after making my own? Mine are the only scripts on the Workshop that make changes as extensive as mine. You see, when I find a variable that I think I can improve, I improve it. Then I tweak, re-tweak, test, re-test, tweak some more, test some more, then tweak all over again. I've got nearly 50 Change Notes on some of my scripts! My obsessive-ness to make these as perfect as I can definitely borders on Mad Scientist levels.

The point I'm trying to make is that I've never seen a Workshop script that makes as many changes as mine, and I'm not sure why.

Madness to your method, huh?
Are you sure you're not some evil scientist?
Lankycide  [author] 15 Oct, 2017 @ 1:33am
O... kay? Well, here's my reasoning, just so that you can see where I'm coming from.

The 100% vanilla AK-47 does 58 damage per shot at a fire rate of 0.13, which equals 446 damage per second. As you pointed out, a Tank on Normal has 4000 health, which means an AK-47 will kill it in 9 seconds of continuous fire, and that's only for one Survivor. Usually, you'd have four hammering it at the same time. Vanilla Tanks really are incredibly easy (unless you're playing Expert or Versus), which is why I tweaked Tanks a bit in my Dead World Gamemode mod.

Anyway, the reason I made my sidearms (Pistol mods and Magnum mods) so powerful was so that they'd match any Primary in damage per second. If you compare this gun to how it was in vanilla, the changes look utterly ridiculous. But if you compare this gun to a Primary weapon like an AK-47, it's actually almost an equal now, with the magazine size being the only limiting factor.

Fear not! There is madness to my method...

200dmg x 7ammo= 1400 dmg
Normal tank health= 4000?
3magazine to kill a tank Nice

Glad to hear it! :) I put a lot of passion and hours into these so it's nice to hear that people enjoy them.
H2O_Lemon 10 Oct, 2017 @ 12:18pm
This is probably my favorite script. Makes the deagle way more enjoyable! Good work!
Lankycide  [author] 28 Sep, 2017 @ 4:02am
Al...right? I'm not sure what that means, but I'm glad it's working for you now. :) Let me know if you run into any other issues, or even if you've got suggestions.
Asura 28 Sep, 2017 @ 3:46am
No after the update it worked fine, before hand it would only make my old one work repeatedly
Lankycide  [author] 27 Sep, 2017 @ 10:46pm
Really? Alright, I'll do some checking and see what's up. :)

Edit: Okay, I did some testing and made a few changes, but the script seemed to work fine the entire time for me. Try unsubscribing and re-subscribing? Let me know if it's still not working.
Asura 25 Sep, 2017 @ 5:58pm
uh for me, this doesnt work, and nothing is conflicting
