I *believe* from memory i tried and failed. It's been a while. I think it's because it's an AOE also right?

It's hard to say with certainty without seeing the code. Ask the mod authors of those other mods if they change AI suppression behavior and if they use the original code, it will work.

I saw a case in my AI where a Trooper suppressed a flanked unit. I didnt like it and its not supposed to happen, so i have explicitly scored out of valid suppression checks any unit that is considered flanked. There is almost always 99.9% a better option than suppressing a flanked target.

Forgot that there were 2 ways the AI checks for suppression, i patched the Target Pick By Aim score also. MEC should stop suppressing the lost entirely.

It's not hard, but i try to keep this mod simple with one liners. This is not an AI overhaul.

Also i cant control who the AI attacks from a bind perspective. The team code is a mess and im not delving into that.

There's also the bug where if a XCom is bound by a viper, lost will attack the XCom and not the viper... even though it makes no sense at all... XD

I can fix Get Over Here but Bind uses the generic melee calc. If I fix that, it will break anyone using Potential Melee Targeting including Berserkers. I'm afraid this is not quick-fixable. It would require giving Vipers their own targeting routine.

While I remember, the lancers could benefit too from learning not to try and teach the Lost to respect their authority... though their current behavior is perfectly lore adherent, given how drugged up they are.

I was going too at first, and i will, but its much much more complex. Youd have to make a list of melee units then compare the target template name to that list one by one, then invalidate the target. Thats a solid hour. This one took me 30 seconds.

Sometimes i just want to singlehandedly overhaul the entire game AI of everything. But im one man, with a job, and a full AI overhaul is like 400 hours (from scratch, no reuse of Firaxis functions)

Pratal Mox Nearly bled to death on a retaliation mission because of resistance members ignoring the warlock mind controlling him and going to town.

The resistance members are in need of an overhaul though. The civies never take cover and the fighters never overwatch when they have no active targets.
